As we all know, village media's targeted demographic heavily leans liberal so it doesn't come as any surprise that an "online" poll amongst your readers would swing left.Unfortunately, that and the fact online polls are infamously unreliable, makes the article have a high probability of being wishful fiction.
Most polls in this country, federal or otherwise, have fallen to being online based and the ones that aren't are biased by support from one party or another. If we all remember, the polls prior to Trudeau calling a pandemic election were saying the liberals would win a large majority if the election was held then. History proved otherwise.Prior to the US election in November the vast majority of the polls had the Democrats ahead and expected to win. History proved otherwise.I'm just saying polls are polls and anyone that puts their betting money on the line based upon them best beware.
"Ford just can't stay in his own lane."He is in his own lane. A large majority of Orange Julius's tariffs severely affect Ontario industries, agriculture and jobs.Try and keep up Grandad.
Do not fool yourself.Young people know exactly who has put them in a poor position from being able to afford rent let alone have home ownership.Young membership to the conservative volunteer ranks is at an all time high.I think there's going to be a few surprised people in regards to young voting this time around.
What surprises me the most in all of this I suppose is the amount of people who buy into the fear-mongering and disinformation spread by the Liberals this go around. I had hoped for better.Anyone who thinks a party in this country can be elected into power and they can just wave their hand and make social institutions such as OAS dissappear has absolutely no understanding as to how our government works and has unfortunately bought into the disinformation way too completely.
One wonders if your statement would be the same regarding polls if it would have shown the liberals in front. That being said however, in general I have to agree that polls, especially online polls, are notoriously bias-slanted one way or another and are the least reliable method of determining a future outcome in an election.
@R RufusYes commenters are centre-->right but they are also centre-->left.However, the ownership of village media is openly pro liberal and as such, target a demographic with positions similar to theirs. This is how media works, all media. I'm not saying its good or bad....I'm just saying that it is.
If Sudbury.com isn't running pro federal liberal articles ad nauseum, they run provincial conservative trashing articles.Just once I would like to see them run articles showing conservatives in a positive light.Or is that too much to ask?
The majority of pundit and poll opinions was a win for Harris and you know that as well as I do.As far as the polls showing the conservatives way ahead of the liberals was true prior to and just after your last leader ran away. However, it also showed the weakness of polls soon after when it showed the liberal support was actually a lot stronger now that Mr. Dressup wasn't in the running. Polls are not reliable. Plain & simple. You can deny it to yourself as much as you want but remember, the beauty of this world Onlooker is freedom. The freedom for you to be as right as I am and the freedom for me to be as wrong as you are.
