And people say, "Oh, even the PC doesn't want him!" Well, here you go, they do. If you think they don't, cry me a river. Pierre is an honest guy, with a very real vision, and I'm happy to see he's got his place.I invite everyone to consider not what attempts are being made, but how much better things really could be. Do we want a government that controls us with extra laws, extra taxes, extra bureaucracy, telling us to sacrifice more? Or do we want a government that doesn't take away our rights, and lets us do what we Canadians do best?We have so much potential, but the government for the past fifteen years has gotten in the way of progress. The sad part is, we saw patterns of that. And then it seems like everyone just forgot about that, "It'll improve. The same party will change, and will do more." How long? How long do we have to wait? The Conservatives are ready to take positive action right now, to make life affordable, to put Canada first, to make our country safe.
The refused hand shake speaks volumes. It's not a lack of anything. It is a statement, "We do not see eye to eye, I do not respect what you're doing, and I hate everything you stand for."I respect him for refusing the hand shake.
Thinking a little more. This is the same fear mongering that the liberals abused. "We will save you from the threat of the US." It's not a real threat. It was a sarcastic remark that the liberals weaponized and people fell for it, hook line and sinker.Let's be honest and call it what it is.This isn't news. It's propaganda.
You cannot regulate people to be polite. You can regulate harmful behaviours.Freedom of speech and expression is one of the fundamental rights of our country. And while some people may abuse it, this case, while profane, is free expression. If you hate a political figure, that is absolutely your right to do so. And therefore if you wish to post a sign that is not crazy massive or obstructing safe view of driving, which if it's say for example three feet by four, more than ten feet from the road on straight stretch, that in no way obstructs safe view of driving, therefore the ONLY thing that sign could get complaints about is hurting someone's feelings.
KB, tarrifs have increased every place he's went to. That's not a good start. Young Canadians have had dreams ripped away, housing is practically unattainable except by the elite few, and then on top of that, Carney asks young Canadians to sacrifice even more! How much more do we have to sacrifice?
Suggesting they like him? The guy who asks the real questions, and points out when the liberals dodge answering? The guy who has real conversations? Who understands Canadians better than an isolated "top 1% of the top 1%" banker? Liberal MPs should be worried for their jobs. Maybe they'll actually understand how the rest of Canada lives. Paycheck to paycheck, because their own policies have made life so unaffordable that people can't help but do anything else.
I don't want to have to say it, but I think I need to.Parents let a child run beside a moving vehicle to get candy. And then we're surprised when the obvious tragedy happens? The worst risk should be getting struck by a gently tossed lollipop. Parents should keep their children under control, and not let them run beside a moving vehicle.I don't see where the big problem is here. Someone was careless, and now it ruins it for everyone?
Remove all carbon taxes, that'll make freight cheaper, farming cheaper... That'll be a good start. I'm not an economist, but all I've seen in the past ten years, is life getting more and more expensive, and it doesn't need to be.We could also increase our manufacturing and energy sectors. More exports, rather than just buying from the rest of the world.
There's two people responsible for that. Police, who give the orders for reasons of weather... And the weather network, who, sets the weather? I guess? As a plow operator... Not my fault! It was snowing, blowing, visibility was bad last night, and we were all out doing our jobs. We can do everything right and people still think we're lazy because the weather was too much, and police don't want to risk someone being hurt because no one knows how to drive these days.
Being nostalgic about the past fifteen years certainly is not the way to go. We need to look ahead, for a better, more promising future, with someone who can actually define their own plan, rather than just say, "We have a plan." Carney's plan is to make a plan, right? He's planning to plan...Meanwhile, others who I need not name, have a solid plan already, for actual decisions and actions. I don't want to be nostalgic about the past. I want to learn from what we've seen, and drive forward for a better future. One where we need not "sacrifice more". Have we not paid enough sacrifice?
@Sarah That's not the point here. They ban the guns, then say "turn them in." It's not the "turn them in" part that's the problem, it's the banning them in the first place. It comes back to, federal government looking at an offender being released on bail, or on a "promise to appear" and that's saying, "We trust you." And then the government turns around and tells legal, law abiding, trained and safe gun owners, "You've never been in trouble a day in your life. But we don't trust you."
I survived the turn of the century, y2k, the predicted end of the world in 2012, Sars, Swine Flu, and a global pandemic...I'm not about to be taken out by a Pizza Pop.
Sunrise at 8am is too late. Stick to standard time, full time. (yes I know sunrise times change through the season.)Enough is enough, no one wants time changes. We're just too stubborn, we can't stop shooting ourselves in the foot. "We've done it for so long, we can't stop it."
So the problem is criminals having guns... So they decide to take the guns from the law abiding people?Further... The bail laws (per liberal government) is to release offenders as soon as possible with as few restrictions as possible. Telling offenders, "We trust you. Just be better."But then taking guns from licensed, trained people who have never been in trouble a day in their life, "We don't trust you."
