Jail should be focused on teaching them to be somebody I can be safe living next door to. Doug doesn't care because they wont be living next door to him. Taxes are high enough without paying city staff to have a meeting to discuss whether or not to have a committee to explore the option of creating a plan to investigate the need for a proposal to review any options with regard to following up at a later date to facilitate consultation and presenting a subsequent proposal for review by council to be reviewed by staff for the possibility of recommending further consultation and creating unenforceable guidelines which somehow cost a fortune and accomplish nothing every time someone sneezes and their neighbors don't like it.

GuelphToday 8I get what you are saying but Guelph has a massive shortage of affordable rentals and the government just sent a ton of foreign students home because of the housing shortage. If we have to get a private developer to build it they have to make a profit. You are assuming they make excessive profit. If they did not count on DC's in their original proposal because the law was changed I understand their position. If the developers pay the charge they pass it on to the mostly taxpayer funded university anyway.
