It's not just here. We have heard many time in out travels near and far that the no kill shelters are overwhelmed. there is a reason as people will not get their cat neutered and usually based on costs. Sorry folks but it's time to reopen the gas boxes. No warning. No second chance. Unidentified cats go into the gas box the next day. Yes, it's no a nice way to deal with this issue but it is the answer. And before you go nuts on me, STOP and purge your emotions for 1 minute and look at it from a hard cold hearted position.

And they will slip in a 5 dollar increase for taxpayers to use the dump for recycling and toxic drop offs. They have already created a stumbling block by moving the plastic, foam and cardboard recycling inside the site causing those of us who are trying to be good citizens to line up for the scale instead of the easy drop off from before. Now I will put cardboard at Mid Ontario for them to profit from and put the rest into the garbage and to heck with good citizenship. This city has lost it's way. if the city doesn't care, neither do I any more.

I was downtown at 1 pm today. Found a meter spot 45 feet from the shop I wanted to visit. I put 50 cents in the meter and got 17 minutes of parking. Exactly enough to do my business. 50 cents. Loose change. If I need to be downtown for longer I park off the core and walk. Would I do more business with free parking? No, because finding a parking spot during free parking was impossible unless you were in the core at 9 am.

Currently camping near Kincardine which has a beach and is a huge draw for tourists and the entire town has free parking so everyone can enjoy the town and beach. Maybe our esteemed council should look at tourist towns within just a 3-4 hour drive to see how successful tourist towns do it.
