'I'll never roll over': Ford and Trump both vow strength ahead of trade meeting

You put a tax on hydro being sent to the States and then turned around and cancelled it. You vowed to not "roll over" in the face of American tariffs. It would be far better to think things through so you don’t have to back down and make everyone wonder about our leadership.

As long as the stay in their human’s yard. They destroy far too many flower beds. You get a cat, you need to be responsible to look after your cat on your property.

Transparency should be the only way we conduct business in North Bay when using public funds to support the organization. If you don’t want to report to the general public open your own private business and use your own funds. Thank you Tanya, “ 'I don’t agree with a third year of subsidizing the ski hill without providing some kind of report or something to the public,' Councillor Tanya Vrebosch stated during a recent meeting of Council.”

Stop buying prepared food and spending in coffee shops, restaurants and take outs.. Teach folks how to cook and bake on a budget!

Time to investigate and review all Boards and all non-profit groups that receive donations, government funding transfers, or any other funding. A full review of mandates is required. Total transparency of all operations, meeting minutes, financial records, and spending must be posted for the general public’s best interest. Far too many dysfunctional news stories these days.

How does this become a public service in any form to those that purchased waterfront? What is the total cost to the taxpayers? How is this different than someone that buys a home and their basement floods or their waterline freezes, or…?

Now we need more geared to income housing for folks with disabilities. How many are on that list?

Without question there needs to be adequate housing. Sad that this has to be a news headline. This should not have to be a news topic if management is doing their job or had done their job in the past. It is not about just collecting tuition.

When wages and high salaries are being paid out and the public can see waste and abuse of a program they will donate to other causes. One organization that thrives on efficiencies, accountability and supports no waste or duplication is required. If you know who and why you are feeding someone there is a better chance that you can steer them in the right direction and truly make a difference in their life. Feeding someone and letting them go back on the street will never work. Accountability of the program and those accessing the program should be the number one priority.

Awe………how do you think others got their education. Some could afford full time education, some could not, and some took part-time and worked. Please, we need to quit crying and buckle down. Open the jar of peanut butter and boil your pasta. Check your budget on how much you’re spending on eating out and technology. In saying this all institutions need to be fair with the actual cost of tuition. There should be no greed when it comes to giving our future and education. That should include what international students are having to pay.

The trust is gone. Open the books on every non profit group in North Bay as well as our elected officials. We must start fresh to build trust in the City of North Bay. This truly not only hurts our rate payers, but the image of our community. Open and post the books for all groups receiving funding and donations. This is the only way to enforce honesty and integrity for those that are spending and approving expenses. What is the current policy for non profit groups in North Bay?

I would hope the washrooms for men in the skilled trades are just as clean and sanitary as the washrooms for women.

Some cottages are draining waste water directly into our lakes. For starts, province wide, all older cottages should be evaluated and brought up to current standards.

Can you put yourself in the shoes of those that are receiving chemo and driving yourself to your appointments. Can you imagine having to make your own meals after receiving chemo because you have no support when returning home. Can you imagine returning home from emerg. to care for yourself when you are retaining fluids and are constipated. This is our what our health care is for some very sick individuals that have no affordable options. Rural residing patients receive even less than urban residing patients.
