Where people work, unless public facing (aka needing to be physically in front of the public) doesn't matter as long as the work is being completed effectively. The only negative impacts are businesses losing foot traffic, in which they need to update their business model and not rely on "Convenience". Forcing people back to the office to get them to spend more money on things they normally wouldn't have isn't the answer.I don't work for the government, I work in an office. If I were to work from home, it would have 0 impact on my work or the other people I work with. Working from office has become and outdated model, and in turn more expensive than allowing employees (who again, do not work with customers/public in person) to work from home. The times have changed and we should move with it, otherwise we end up outdated and people will look for jobs that can be remote.I should add: I personally prefer to work at the office than at home.
Meanwhile the conservatives sold us out to China but somehow the Liberals did it... The lack of historical information being absorbed by people is incredible.
@Manny11, I'm sure you thought your post was a good "got you" moment, but you're forgetting that work from home would save tax payers money when they're no longer having to rent a building, or paying upkeep on a large building, also being able to reduce their running costs. This then allows our tax dollars to be spent in better areas, such as road construction, or health care, or and this is probably the most important after reading some comments, education. However by all means keep screaming "get back to work" and wasting tax dollars.
This is what happens when you turn your college into a diploma factory in which you take on way too many international students and do not plan for the future.
All of these geriatric/tech illiterate people commenting "get back to work!" As if the people weren't working... Give your heads a shake. Offices should be a thing of the past for a lot of companies, and it would save a ton of tax payers money if they weren't renting buildings or paying utilities on said buildings. "But I have to do it", so do I, but I'm not about to tell others where they should be working from.
@Endofthrones please tell me what policies have been pushed through by the Carney government so far that has 1) Negatively impacted you and 2) makes him worse than Trudeau.
We will not see a difference regardless of party when it comes to this. They conveniently left out the part where Doug Ford gutted OSAP making College/University harder to afford for citizens, so instead they ramped up international students to help cover the cost.
Well @Manny11, then you have to replace those workers and end up paying someone else the same wage and end up back at square one. I truly hope you're just a cog in some machine and not a person that makes decisions.
You literally can say yes and no to the other due to the nature of the vehicles and the differences. Snow machines typically aren't tearing up the trails, where ATVs and other off-road vehicles can rip the trails to shreds causing ruts and such and ruining the trails for others.
So, propaganda would be telling half truths or lies to mislead you into believing something. None of that is happening here. The sign, while really silly, isn't doing that either. One example of propaganda would be "The federal government is ruining healthcare!" While the federal government does provide funding for healthcare, it is entirely controlled by the province. Also what is nihilistic about anything here? Again, you're using words you don't understand.
