Politicians and officials need to stop apologizing for the actions of past “leader” ( I use that words very loosely). To demand Fleury say sorry for something he had nothing to do with simply because he is the current Chief is bunk.
You’re such a drama queen . This is NOT a disaster nor is it something that “no one else” wanted. The Eastons location is a terrible idea and always has been especially now that it is being perfectly utilized already. So relieved that people like you don’t run this city. So glad that I won’t see people like you in the gallery or the multi use turf facility. These will be happy fun places afterall.
You have no idea what you’re talking about and your distain for anything related to the police is evident all over this website. You take a blanket approach in the negative. You do realize that the police respond to over 60 000 calls for service a year and many more not reported. After the last few “reinvestigations” by other agencies the results were never given to the citizens of this city…Why?A few mistakes doesn’t mean the entire police service is a mess.I’ll take the word of a man like Chief Herman over you armchair quarterbacking anti-police rhetoric any day.
This would be sad if it weren’t so hilarious. All polling indicates that her party may not even be able to pull of opposition party. Quit worrying about the U.S. At least we know when they will at least HAVE an election. Not like here where the most unpopular PM probably ever won’t put his money where his mouth is and call an election. Of course he would probably need to ask the real PM, yes I mean Singh, first.
Sentencing does not take place immediately for anyone in this country. When the trial ends, the judge makes a second date for a verdict, sometimes many months away. After that they then set a date for sentencing , also many months away. This is not a simple traffic ticket. Try a bit of research instead of making nonsense up just because you have an axe to grind.
Now THIS is why a guy like Trump and his MAGA nutters don’t matter and really won’t in less than 4 yrs time ( or sooner) . We are friends and cousins and it will stay that way. Although I am still not going until he’s gone as a matter of principle , I am very happy to see that there are some adults still in that country.
Why this city doesn’t at least get a costing from the OPP is beyond me. What’s the harm in that. At least we will know what they would provide and what it would cost. Then perhaps we can be done with this drama once and for all.
At the very least the fire and paramedics wages should be flipped… based on call volume alone. The discrepancy is huge and like myself I emagine most people didn’t even know this.
This interview basically stated what we already know re: addictions and mental health. The rest is platitudes of nice words like “compassion” and “healing”. I’ve run in to a few of the so-called “unhoused” and was berated and harassed on green space that also belongs to me and not by a few. Even though I hadn’t said a word. While I’m not afraid of anyone there, I’m sure many people are. They are turning many spaces in this city into dirty unsafe and unhealthy places. I’m still waiting for Bowles , Harris ( lol ) and others to explain why this is only a warm weather problem. I have some theories to that. They can say what they want and make excuses all they want but mental health problems and addictions have always been here. The tents haven’t and I for one am not buying it in totality.Pick a site. ONE site and have them be homeless there so we can enjoy the rest of the green spaces we all own. Then come January , we’ll be able to enjoy that space again as well.
There is so much wrong with this silly letter. The LPH is derelict and full of asbestos and lead. Furthermore… 130 homeless people when it’s warm and something like 6 when it’s cold ( referring to the tents at least) is hardly an emergency.
