TBNewsWatch 42Sentencing does not take place immediately for anyone in this country.When the trial ends, the judge makes a second date for a verdict, sometimes many months away. After that they then set a date for sentencing , also many months away. This is not a simple traffic ticket. Try a bit of research instead of making nonsense up just because you have an axe to grind.

TBNewsWatch 39This interview basically stated what we already know re: addictions and mental health. The rest is platitudes of nice words like “compassion” and “healing”. I’ve run in to a few of the so-called “unhoused” and was berated and harassed on green space that also belongs to me and not by a few. Even though I hadn’t said a word. While I’m not afraid of anyone there, I’m sure many people are. They are turning many spaces in this city into dirty unsafe and unhealthy places. I’m still waiting for Bowles , Harris ( lol ) and others to explain why this is only a warm weather problem. I have some theories to that. They can say what they want and make excuses all they want but mental health problems and addictions have always been here. The tents haven’t and I for one am not buying it in totality.Pick a site. ONE site and have them be homeless there so we can enjoy the rest of the green spaces we all own. Then come January , we’ll be able to enjoy that space again as well.

TBNewsWatch 32There is so much wrong with this silly letter. The LPH is derelict and full of asbestos and lead. Furthermore… 130 homeless people when it’s warm and something like 6 when it’s cold ( referring to the tents at least) is hardly an emergency.

TBNewsWatch 11Shane Judge just can let it go. He doesn’t want the city to build anything. We had a plebiscite …. It’s called an election and the last survey ( not the Tbnewswatch kind … but a real one) had an overwhelming majority in favour of this thing. Why do people think we need a plebiscite for everything? This is nonsense.The plebiscite was conducted THREE times on whether or not the citizens of this city wanted Judge to even be on city council and he LOST every time…. Yet here he is grandstanding again. So glad they let him rant and voted in favour right in front of him.

TBNewsWatch 29Your letter is every bit one sided as you accuse the mayor as being. Admittedly the mayor did exaggerate but most believe he was simply being emotional. There are numerous accounts of safe supply drugs being sold on the black market. An innocent woman was gunned down in Toronto near a safe injection site where criminals had gained a foot hold and were less than willing to help the police. Our “tent cities “ are reduced to a handful when the winter comes… why? Taxpayers didn’t make the addicted addicted or make homeless. Now the taxpayers cannot use areas they paid for. Now you’re asking the taxpayers to buy them more drugs to live in tents on property they cannot even use? Not everyone is or should be willing to put up for this for long.The mayor was a bit over the top but he was not entirely wrong.
