Could have been half the size to save taxpayers some money and would also be completed by now. This is Thunder Bay, NOT Toronto.

Just cancel it.

Nothing but an enabling program. Time to quit work, sell the house and let the city pay for me.

This is just another reason why landlords have to raise rent for their properties. Have to cover court costs, renovate rental after disrespectful tenants finally move out and to weed out bad tenants the next time. Higher rent = higher class of tenant.

There are far more deserving groups that could use these grants than the "pride group". Legions and Veterans to name a couple. I really don't know what has happened to society.

Never mind that it's an American company. The hundreds employed at Costco will be Canadian. Let's just hope that the city and the naysayers do not ruin our opportunity for this.

Yes, I can't figure out why rewarding those that are capable of working but refuse to do so with free housing. The taxpayer that works 3 jobs to scrape by pays for these people.

City council must stop pushing for a soccer complex and FOCUS their attention on drugs and gang activity.

Good thing you people don't live in Toronto where parking is almost 10x's the cost of Thunder Bay. The city will raise the taxes and then change the hrs of paid parking, it's a no-win situation.

If they were drug tested before the gvrnmnt pays them the monthly allowance, this wouldn't be happening. They would have to get a job to pay for their fix, and as time progresses, they wouldn't need a fix any longer.

That's great for the area and those that live in area as long as they show up for work after the first paycheck.

You murdered someone, do the time and be happy that you can apply for parole after 13yrs. Sentence should have been life, without the ability of parole....EVER

Good job. Finally, the commercial trucks might see that Tbay and area won't put up with the stuff they are pulling.

Pay a consultant 250k to come up with this pay structure. Should have kept that cash and at least give the seniors free parking.

It does not matter what the citizens want. Just follow the money.

Another great job by the TBPS to save a life.

BC, your comment (s) is totally out of left field. If you look at all the feedback on this site as well as every other social media site, I will say that at least 75% of the voters are NOT in favor of this being built anywhere. Enough of the enabling and it's time to do some real help and put those that can work, to work and those who are legitimately unable to work into a treatment program.

Now CSI that arrow to find out who did this.

They got what they deserved and now for the courts to give all the others who came to replace them the same sentences.

We certainly don't need AI to identify potholes. We have 100,000 taxpayers willing to identify them for free. Stop wasting our tax dollars as they are spread thin enough already.
