If you don’t think that the massive immigration to solve our “labour shortage” has anything to do with the current difficulty Canadians have find work, you clearly haven’t taken a class in basic economics on your way to becoming a “journalist”.Your opinion on the matter is incoherent.
“Since then, overdose deaths have continued to slowly decrease, as they have since 2023 in Canada and the United States.”Overdose deaths have decreased since the sites closed. It is right there in black and white.“Guelph has seen "reports of escalated behaviours in the downtown core" since April, Wellington Guelph Drug Strategy manager Jean Hopkins said.”So arrest and incarcerate them, which would already be happening if the police and courts were doing their jobs.
You can’t point to a single incident of a child being struck and killed in a school zone in Guelph.Your support for ASE is ideological, it isn’t based in reality.
A $78 billion deficit equates to $2000 for every person in Canada…. Our interest payments are going to increase exponentially. This is the government equivalent to someone who has lost money through poor decisions trying to gamble everything they have left at a casino. We are leveraging ourselves into an even worse position by trying to avoid necessary pain.
I work for a municipality, make six figures, and will be getting a defined benefit pension in a few years. So I am mostly insulated from the Trudeau government’s catastrophic immigration policy. Notice how that doesn’t stop me for acknowledging the problem.
And if you ask the developer why we aren’t building housing they will say “because approvals take too long”. Meanwhile, the developer just refuses to submit a plan that follows basic rules.
If you think the speed signs are "huge", you are ignorant of the facts. The reality is that the signs are small and are placed so that by the time you can see them you already have a ticket. There is a perfectly rational reason for this. The municipality isn't interested in slowing people down, they are interested in shifting the tax burden onto non-residents.
If you think the the signage is "abundant" you clearly don't have a basic understanding of the way these cameras have been implemented, and probably shouldn't be commenting until you do.
