Apparently you didn't get the memo. Canada is more than just holding on during the Trump reign. It's creating trade more than any recent government. PM Carney has the support of 47% of Canadians currently. Can't even begin to imagine Poilievre leading us in our current times; perhaps in normal times. Under Poilievre, becoming the 51st State would look like a serious outcome for Canada. He doesn't have the clout, connections and importantly, the respect that Mr Carney gets from other leaders - including Donald Trump.

Another shady Conservative nomination. They have a definite track record of dishonorable tactics when it comes to this issue. Just another reason not to trust them. Poilievre can't win with honour and truth.

I'm not too bothered. In fact, I like it. He's terribly unpopular, which is why most women won't vote for him, as well as most of the educated population. We need Carney's brilliant brain and experience in dealing with people and leaders worldwide. Not someone who has literally done nothing but make a mockery of our Parliament for the pasr four years and stymy and ways to make life for Canadians function smoothly. And whose only other job on his resume is a paper route.

After all the kissing of the MAGA ring and her bending over backward for the lunatic in orange, it must have been a stab in her heart to have her beloved province, specifically the municipality of Edmonton, called out as evidence to Canada's horrific drug problem. Danielle Smith has blinders on when it comes to Trump and she refuses to see the almost mockingly way he is using her to become Canada's biggest traitor. And, predictably, her minions carry her train behind her. What an embarrassment to our beloved country.

A sad tale of two bored people. One turns her boredom into the creation of a charity. The other one just turns her in. Hopefully, the useful one wins.

The amount of thumbs-down on this comment proves it's point. I've noticed that either the readership is either highly Conservative or it may be that Conservative leaners tend to comment more.

Conservative governments don't seem to like educated people. Perhaps because they vote intelligently, instead of a blind dedication to a Party?

Conestoga College made finding a rental unit impossible to find in Kitchener and Waterloo for anyone looking. That, in turn, caused rental prices to soar. $500 a month might get you a closet right now. Not to mention the strain it put on our resources, especially our food banks and transit. It was a huge impact. Everyday citizens face jammed buses no longer to remain on schedule. It's caused a resentment towards the students, who are unfortunately, not responsible.

He's getting as much done as he can to prove to Canadians that he is the man for the job. He's definitely doing just that. Clever. Poilievre looks like a man limited to 3 words beside him. Oh, wait....

Conservatives governments across Canada have done a horrible job with our healthcare in the past few years, flirting with privatization. I can only imagine what a federal Conservative government would do...

Is this option too difficult for you? If you're a restaurant owner, you should be delighted as this option could save your restaurant $$$ in costs, if everyone embraced it. If you're a customer, don't sweat it, it's OPTIONAL; you won't have to worry about washing an extra dish, you can choose to create more garbage instead. Personally, since I don't trust reheating my food in takeout containers or enjoy eating out of them, by bringing my own containers, I save time and waste. My choice. You do you.

It is a different government, with a new leader. Poilievre is getting desperate, announcing more and more new things to his growing list of perks. Wonder where the money is going to come from? Carney is definitely a different man than Mr Trudeau, far more to the center, something most Liberals aren't unhappy with. The plagIArism rumour has been debunked, just another Con con theory. Maybe there's something to these theories that scream desperation. Like manipulated rigged polls. Poilievre doesn't want to be considered aligned with Trump? Jenny Byrne is blowing it big time.

Unfortunately, the real victims here are the dogs. Ultimately, they're the one's who will pay the price for the actions of their owner(s), possibly with their lives. Are these dogs so vicious that no one has been able to coax any of them to be secured on a leash and released to the humane society? If this is the case, I would say that the Society is running the risk of a lawsuit, in case of a future attack by these dogs, as they are well aware of the dangers reported and their refusal to remedy the situation. As is the municipality...

25? By your thinking then, all education should start then. If they are competent to beginning to learn how to exist in life from the age of kindergarten, they have the competence to learn about themselves. The kids aren't afraid to learn about it, in fact they WANT it. They don't want to become ignorant like much of the adult population (who weren't taught) because it leads to discrimination, bullying, shame, suicidal thoughts, poor mental health and obviously, syphilis. Hiding the truth won't won't help. These kids will learn on their own; wouldn't it be better to give them the truth?

I'm sure she packed her best MAGA hat. Apparently she owns several and has been photographed modeling them. She likely begged Trump to make Alberta the 51st State. She's a traitor to Canada.

Well, if Pierre Poilievre becomes the leader of Canada, this will become moot.Poilievre has stated that he himself, will use the clause to get WHATEVER he wants. Just another reason not to support Poilievre, in the name of democracy. The notwithstanding clause is a dictator's dream!

The rest of the country is laughing at Alberta. Again.

Tiny homes is a blessing for those who gain a temporary place to lay their heads at night - but somewhere to call home during the day. Imagine having no place to be during daylight hours in the winter and no money. KW's success validates this program.

If council approves this, obviously they've never tried to find a three bedroom apartment, let alone an affordable one. Unless a family of four have children of the same gender, they have little options left other than three bedrooms. Families are already stuck,; don't make it worse, just to line someone's pockets.

The dog should be removed from it's current owner and given to someone who will be responsible and give the dog proper training and a good life. There's no need for the animal to die because of it's owner's actions. Rabies determination doesn't require killing the dog.
