Due to dry spell, city bans lawn watering and at-home car washing

But hey, let's keep building more homes, condos and apartments, that will save water.

Is this the tip of the iceberg? Audit every single department and make the numbers public.

Time to move. This is getting absurdly ridiculous. As the population grows let's stifle cross city movement.

Guelph is 1000% liberal to a fault. Conservatives have no chance here that's why.

Alot things Guelph did first blew up in our faces. Amazingly most of it has to do with environmental and green initiatives.

I saw a city bus and school bus almost collide. The school bus had to literally stop before turning onto Scottsdale from College as he couldn't navigate the turn otherwise. And a 10% increase in use? Who did the study and when? So 1 out of every 10 bikes extra? That justifies spending millions? We're in big trouble folks. Common sense with this council is non existent.

Jimmy12....that's a lie and you know it.. I have been driving past that intersection for 30 years. There is hardly any bikes using the lanes winter or summer and I have worked all 3 shift times. While Woodlawn bike lane are the way they should be implemented citywide they are not justified by the amount of usage. I see more people standing at the bus stop by Skyjack than bike riders.

Good idea, make it "universal" for Ontario. Government wants people to use transit of any kind then make it easier by using one system.

Yup....just like the new apartments at College and Scottsdale corner. It was slated for Senior/ retirement living as the building previously on the site. Now that it's almost complete the builder changed it to student residency.

Makes me wonder, I know a single mother on ODSP. with 2 kids that has a somewhat newer van, daughter playing rep soccer and the son has a playstation, xbox and a $1500 computer, 2 dogs and 2 cats, shops at Costco and eats out 75% of the time. Her kids don't even attend school.

So live to work and not work to live? Nice life. Might as well move to a communist country.

Did Councilor Caton just throw Cam under the bus saying the mayor is solely responsible for the budget and that it's not a partnership? "Especially as the mayor, you go in thinking that you’re a partner on the budget and then find out that you’re completely responsible."This is unbelievable that she is trying to absolve herself as part of the mess that city hall is. Am I understanding this wrong?

Professional protesters....some wearing a kefayeh for palestinian support. Wrong protest or just being prepared for the next one. How many homeless showed up for this protest? They all should be there but what do they care when others will fight their battle for them. They even feel entitlement to representation for a cause that affects mostly their predicament.

In my opinion, all valid points. Hopefully there can be a compromise. Guelph historically sides with the builders and the density allocation that has been requested is way off the proposed plans.

He has done more for Canada than you will ever do. It's sad when you get vilified for stating facts.

What jobs? Unemployment is almost 7% and imagine what student Unemployment is. So many stories of kids looking for work for months. Unfortunately the government has allowed the saturation of foreign students to work here and ultimately be exploited by employers. These foreign students know how to play the game also. It's a mess that won't be corrected in a couple of years.

So now we are trying to advocate pulling at the heartstrings in the name of the poor and disabled for bike lane snow removal. Shame on those using this as a argument. Using their misfortune to gain your wants. 65 people rode in the protest or whatever you want to call it. In a city of 140 000 that's all that showed up? And we are supposed to take this seriously?
2
And how many homeless showed up to argue their plight? I'm sick of people thinking they have the moral high ground and only show up to scream and shout the loudest like little children throwing a tantrum. They must be embarrassed for each other if they cannot show their faces. They are not helping but hindering the situation and opinions there of.
