It's a bit asinine for the union to be requesting a 25% wage increase to some fifty thousand unionized employees when the 'Crown' corporation is a money losing venture! The corporation lost some $750 million dollars last year and over two billion lost in the past six years. This isn't sustainable and it certainly isn't a good business model. The fact that taxpayer dollars keep this corporation afloat is the only reason it hasn't tanked. You can bet that if it were a private corporation, then insolvency would be at the forefront. Most certainly things within Canada Post need a major overhaul to make this business profitable and not a losing proposition. Union demands are not one of them.
