EDITORIAL: What is Doug Ford hiding from you? Way more than ever before
73
So true and everyone should be asking this very question. The truth will come out and Ford knows this and because he is trying to line his wagon wheel of donors don't be surprised he is calculating his next needless election campaign call.

Yet in America, the expression it's often the guns kept for protection end up being used against them or their family. I will trust America's experience more this way.

Why won't business owners just own their loss nowadays? Just say you closed it too early, you let it sit too long and didnt have enough imagination.

It's not a mandatory program. And you are confusing terms, buying back only means reimbursing in some kind of financial means without saying they sold the item. Really, this is your argument, brought upon by some semantics?

Until it's your job, and suddenly you will want the herd on your side.

You mean you want Doug Ford in charge of educating your children? You can disagree with the trustees and elected officials in your school region, but I sure don't want Doug in charge of educating children. He already runs the province like a small time drug dealer, just now with superpowers.

All of that and Doug was never elected to dismantle other democratic systems, especially local where politics matter because the community knows their needs more than him. He needs to remember to stay in his lane, and when he's not sadly, I think it's from where he feels he may gain.

You guys and your cynicism, while you say Canada was once a great country. A little PS, Guelph opened a bride for pedestrians and cyclists just this year just north of Speedvale. Its made for connections from east west of the Speed River but also just adjacent to Speedvale there is already a route. Are you guys so cynical all you see is negative or have selective reading? I guess the city could have pronounced this bridge here, but you'd be complaining they did this at the waste of taxpayer dollars.

There was a pipeline built during Trudeau's term. And honestly if you look at what just transpired in the world where America meddled in a foreign country, again, for a made up pretense, now has ample oil and energy coming in the future. Thus, we would have spent how much on a pipeline for a customer who says, we will find our way to get it for free anyway

Waiting for Mayor Guthrie to pronounce on Valentine's Day he believes in love so he will use his strong mayor powers to restore love and weddings just before Valentine's Day. /s

I want the GRCA to be transparent and telling of their planned actions, but I wonder why such little notice?

I dont disagree with you. I'm not sure if I want a car monitoring my driving and making a mistake from some algorithm. Imagine a scenario where someone is driving their wife/partner to a hospital being in labour? There are easier methods, though Canadians would refuse, a built in immobilizer for drunk driving. That actually has less possible wrong readings

By definition a utility pole is infrastructure, once you understand that more, you respect how complicated a life we have with technology and infrastructure - that even one sudden hit can disrupt many (7000) is hardly anybody in modern macro terms, not trying to diminish inconvenience or whatever it caused some.

@Ken from Guelph, I agree with you and my personal observation, I often find students more studious, adventurous, and giving then people who have grown old and bitter. I'd even include Guelph needs to liven up its nightlife downtown, so I include (most) of those who are student partiers' into the fray. Guelph downtown did much better in the late 90s. That's when bars were lined up every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Done well it can create a vibrancy.

Honestly because it was convenient with forthcoming trading negotiations and nothing more. Which is exactly what Trump would want. I feel this was a misstep by him. History shows when the US intervenes and tries to enact change they leave a vacuum not helping anyone. The previous presidents who have done this always come with this outcome - we will leave you in a worse place than before we waged war. Carney is not illiterate of that history, he just chose it was a quick to make a quick buck with Trump while not festering feathers. Its not like Canada's opinion matters.

Sad.... I shudder of the causes and whys... I can already feel my indoor cats becoming more active, they feel spring coming on. I don't give my cats a lot of activities, per se, but I let them have my apartment as a jungle gym. I also listen to them when they want affection and play. They are my children and they know it. Their natural instinct now is to be more playful.Give them the attention they deserve so they don't need to feel looking towards the outdoors...

Municipalities are not allowed to run a deficit under Ontario law. I'd say we have a debt collectively because of this. Things at a time that could have been done even with interest on debt is being put off until it's either overdue or costs more, often both. Also, without details or researching, I'd expect public boards will sell property to the city for a much lower cost than private landowners. An example, Guelph is spending upwards of $70 million to build a new library when a suitable building just adjacent would have cost $1 million years ago from Canada Post.

Let's be "reasonable".... Leaving the schools open is a decision based on "some" can get to work and/or school safe while others can not. We live in a world where schools also become babysitters, think of the parents who have to make last moment plans with employers who give a scant care about your ability to get to work. It's an exemplary armchair philosopher who comes up with protect the buses, the human are free.Do your homework in sensitivtity.

Rwz, without listening to the cast myself, it seems you found only talking points that support a narrow view. Let's try introducing a topic, if people are feeling more stressed and parents exhausted upon means, kids feel these things and they can feel their future bleak. If you haven't looked elsewhere, everyone in this world feels the cost of living disparaging... try an understanding eye instead of talking points.

It all ended yesterday evening. I get flurries and squalls. But I think the old system that applied to the areas really being affected was more effective. We all know how rare it is in Guelph to get squalls.
