Downtown Street Parties returning this summer

When the street party was the entire street, it was an event worth attending. Attended every year and spent a lot of money and found businesses to support year round. When they went to smaller parties it wasn't worth time to attend. With the whole street, if you didn't like one band, keep walking you would find another. With the small party, don't like the band too bad.

The Downtown plaza is a horrible environment for events. The design can't handle normal traffic, let alone special events. The market manager is not great at coordinating events or people.

Sarah Jama, that's all you need to know about Marit Stiles to know Marit isn't worthy of office.

The downtown plaza cannot handle the traffic flow of a normal weekend market, let alone special events. The market manager is a poor communicator who doesn't do a good job with events or people.

Clearly written that they would use the Environment Canada measurement for Sault Ste Marie. The issue is Northern Snow decided they didn't like the standard that was used in the contract and to use a new standard. So, yes clearly written, Northern Snow was wrong and good on them for walking that back.

Northern Snow chose to use Environment Canada as the measurement in the contract.Changing that in Feb is dirty pool.
What kind of seats are you using? Steel folding chairs or stacking chairs or something more comfortable?

The same Caputo who had a failed restaurant downtown is supposed to be the one to understand what the downtown needs? The math at mathin'

More than one thing can be true. Some families will enjoy the smaller parties. Some enjoyed the larger party. Some will attend one and not the other. I would love to know the stats for each method, however the data will probably never be available. Anecdotally, I know when I visited the big party, it was busy and I saw lots of people. When I went to the 1 or 2 smaller parties I tried, the place appeared empty. Of course the businesses should do what makes them the most money. Again more than one thing can be true. I can lament the loss of a local event that brought my family pleasure. We can celebrate the events that bring your family joy.
Remember when the first Reserve open house happened and the then CO said comments about people over 50? Those comments didn't stay up long.
