In case no one has figured this out yet, the idea of dumping these homeless and drug addicted people into to mini shacks or the "New Concept" mobile homes is NOT going to work. The destruction of these homes will continue unless onsight law enforcement is in place 24/7, 365.And of course, "catch and release" must cease to exist. Punishment for crimes committed is an absolute necessity in a law-abiding society. Kaos is the alternative that is emerging because of weak government and weak laws associated with them. The downtown businesses and residents of Prince George and most other communities across Canada are victims of limp-wristed entities that are supposed represent US, the law-abiding tax payers in our country! The need for real thinking and real action by government and law institutions is paramount.

If found guilty I'm sure a good talking to and a soft pat on the back is in order for the accused. Lord knows his or her tough childhood and inner conflict can be dealt with in a kind and humane manner and of course, the accused is the only true victim in this story......the suspense is burning me up

Fires, fires, and More Fires!! The insurance and repair burdens that our downtown businesses face on a daily basis is NOT the cost of doing business in a normal police protected structure.I personally feel that our governments, local and provincial, are liable for these damages because they are foreseeable. The reason being that repeat and known offenders are the problem and our courts act as though they have their hands tied. They don't.I look forward to the day when business associations across the province of BC and our country take class action against our legal system and hold these governments financially responsible. Yes, enough IS enough

There must be an obvious reason this criminal isn't serving at least another 5 years in federal prison for probation breaches as well as being a career criminal and a danger to to public's safety??If someone has an answer to this, I'd like to hear your feedback

I am so pleased that I can now be mindlessly drunk and impaired and attempt to murder someone by machete with the expectation of probation as punishment for the crime...or is it really a crime after all?Our justice system is failing all of us, including the perpetrators. We are victims and so are they. Criminals are not experiencing any determent for crimes committed, so they remain in the judicial system as repeat offenders, while the public body suffers the real consequence of those crimes...I need an explanation for why we have prisons and jails if not for criminals-- then who?

Hopefully armed guards and security cameras provided by City of PG for overflow campers and a spanking here and there for drug dealers and thugs that always coalesce in Moccasin Flats.Get you act together city council! Stop pandering to crime with a soft heart and unsound mind

769 or so crashes on hwy 16 within the city limits of Prince George over a 4 year period. Hwy 16 is poorly managed by the province of BC, that much is painfully clear. It's time our local government representatives bring this forward to our respective transportation ministers both provincially and federally and insist our infrastructures be upgraded immediately. Fewer stop lights and more traffic exchanges is a start. The ability for through traffic to avoid high traffic situations in this city is non-existent and a headache for all people who commute in the Prince George area
