This is what happens when governments lose sight of the fundamentals. Every social program, hospital, school, and seniors' benefit depends on one thing first: productive people creating wealth. If working families can't afford homes, children, or to start businesses, the tax base shrinks while demand for government spending keeps growing. That's not sustainable.Canada needs to get back to supporting work, productivity, resource development, entrepreneurship, and families. We cannot keep borrowing from future generations or pretending there is unlimited money. Compassion matters, but compassion without a strong economy eventually fails everyone, including the most vulnerable. A country cannot redistribute wealth indefinitely if it stops creating it.

I offered to buy it for $25,000 cash a few before this deal went through through. City wouldn’t even talk to me because I wasn’t some big developer. I had 300k back then to start renovating. Wanted to restore it into what it was, entertainment place. Night club. I was told the city had a clause to take the building back if the developer didn’t renovate it. Well, he didn’t so I wonder what’s in that contract because this developer never intended to do much he got it for nothing waited 11 years for nothing and now he will want to sell it for $1 million again totally incompetent city. The city is operated by idiots.

This is just being totally naive to what’s going on Tbay with crime, much of it committed by homeless and police won’t do anything. It’s a complaining it’s raining because it’s raining. It’s kind of pathetic when somebody breaks into your house. Police doesn’t even show up and you’re gonna put up a tent in the park with no security. That is just not very intelligent. And very Naïve.

City gets no bids for former paper mill property

To many properties for sale for way to much money, and no viable way to redevelop it and generate a return. Allen was crazy for buying the property and assuming the Tax liability. It was poor judgment and poor business practice. You live and you learn, city will take it back and spend 5 million plus redeveloping it and then they will give it away to a big shot big name builder from not here. How it goes here. How city does things. City tax sale on property shouldn’t be with taxes wiped out. Hey I didn’t make the rules. This property isn’t prime land for business anyway. Same with, pool 6, and western timber. Poor road access. Cory has no money to fix the road access east of the train tracks.

Go protest at Patty Hajdu office because the feds are respossible for funding emergency response, and Mark Carney cut the budget also. Not fair or moral to only portest Kevin. My last comment wasn't posted, and it was the same nature as this one. So someone at Tbnews didnt approve it why? Hammering Kevin but not Patty? Media is suppose to be unbias.
