I don't know that we have any other choice. The US is going to take longer than Trump's term to right itself especially since Republicans voters think he is doing a great job and they aren't going anywhere for a long time.

"HIGH grocery prices, utilities, rent, gas, homelessness, drug problem etc." is world wide. While no fan of Trudeau (who did many a thing I didn't agree with) he didn't cause covid when most of this escalated. As far as Carney he is trying to deal with what is EXACTLY Trump's fault. Again, ask the world how they are doing since Trump this term.

Andrew I am not a party person and was very much over the liberals in power at the fed level. It was time for a conservative just as we needed a liberal at the provincial level. I vote for what I think the country needs and to keep a balance, not a party banner. No way ever would I give a vote to Poilivere, so I didn't.

respectful reality This new wave of Maga Republicans won't end with Trump. I would guess an easy 10 years or more for that trend to leave them. How long do you want to wait? (and that is if it ever goes away)

The mayor just gets worse every time he opens his mouth over these powers.

All the old people here are paying for the expensive builds for the young professional people they are trying to bring to town.

The last paragraph is a big one. We are too small a city to house everybody who is needing homes from such a small tax base. The taxes are killing people who do have homes and are just hanging on.

I was ready to vote conservative after Trudeau but never would vote PP. So far I am happy with my vote.

How does Ford have the right to abolish all city councils? Who needs to stop him? The courts? We need a new mayor to fight this for us asap.

Not to mention we already have to deal with the omnipotence of Trump without adding Ford and McIsaac. It is just wrong!

They can do their talk with the lawyers at 2 pm and then an open session in the evening. This is going on too long. I must say there is nothing that could be disclosed now that would change my mind on the mayor or whatever promises he makes going forward with his agenda. There seemed to be a good working relationship between the mayor and the council and I can't see what problem made the mayor seek full power over everybody. Nobody is that special.

It's a shame in that it gave good reports on petty crime, fights downtown, stolen bicycles, car break ins, etc. We don't get that info or statistics on smaller crimes anywhere. It's those crimes that affect most of us in the city. People who haven't followed the page have no clue what is actually going on in this city. You'd be shocked.

The 87 years old part should definitely put her up on the priority list and the vomiting. With a heart attack pain can be all over the place.

Lol @ blaming Carney who is trying to negotiate with a fool without a clue. We won't even mention the childish temper tantrums, oh wait, I just did.

I like the design. I also like that it represents an outdoor museum to teach about the past and will create conversations within families that visit it about the history of Orillia and the Indigenous people.

Except they had their own policy of not posting names unless it was released by police already.

How are we going to power a new hospital which is an admittedly stupid comment but it jumped right into my head since I was expecting more help with hydro type remarks.

The speed cameras plus a flashing light that you are entering a safety zone should cut off debate. If you can't see the lights and speed through you shouldn't be driving.
