And it overlooks Campbells rather embarrassing comment about the Clerks tenure, as if to imply he didn't know his job. The Mayor could have procedurally ended the meeting much earlier but patiently let the left figure out all by themselves, they didn't have a leg to stand on. What's embarrassing isn't the Mayor using strong Mayor powers, it's watching the vindictive councilors, who will, without blush, run for Mayor next time. We need a new council. #2026

What is also clear is that decisions made by Council, and/or Strong Mayor are accountable to the electorate at ELECTION time. Socal media has deluded people into believing they should know everything about everything. Here's what I do know. Our Mayor has worked day and night during this emergency and he had every right to vacation.... which he cut short to arrive home in the early morning. He has done things to help individuals that will never make the paper because he cares. No keyboard warrior has worked as hard through this. I didn't see my Councilors doing anything. I don't expect likes on this post and could care less.
