There can be only one reason for this order - Bonnie Henry like exercising power over the people. It's been well established that masks do not prevent the spread of viruses. She's doing this because she can.We get seasonal respiratory illnesses every year, always have, always will, and until the COVID pandemic came along there were none of these ridiculous mask mandates.

The "persons unknown" are who is solely responsible. But there's no chance of collecting any money from them, so the city is trying to pin the responsibility on whoever has money (and/or insurance). Something just no right about that.

How long after they move into the former North Star Inn can we expect to see it go up in flames?

30 year contract for a facility that will be lucky to operate for 20.And where will the power come from when the wind isn't blowing?Should have gone for nuclear.

"A breach of faith in the privacy of communication", yes."An aspect of coercive and controlling behaviour", yes."An odious practice that should be discouraged", OK.But violence? Absolutely not. Violence is behavior or treatment in which physical force is exerted for the purpose of causing damage or injury. There was none of that. Find a better word.

Just going to spit the vote and help the NDP, for the sake of her own vanity.

If you want to buy one, fine spend your money. But there should be no EV mandates or subsidies, that's just virtue signaling and serves no real purpose.

As I understand it, hospital construction down in the lower mainland is fully funded by the province, but if we want hospital construction here, we have to pay for a third of the cost.I'm assuming we'll have to pay for a big chunk of that helipad too. Double standard. We're punished by not voting NDP.

Just another phony excuse to raise taxes. I have a house, a shop and a shed. NONE of the rain that falls on them runs off the property into the storm sewer. I gets absorbed into the ground.

No matter the outcome, the end result will be the same - an NDP government. In the unlikely event that it turns out the Conservatives have the win, it will be a minority government, and the NDP/Greens will defeat them in a confidence motion at the earliest opportunity and take power in a coalition.Deja Vu all over again.

We never had much of a bear problem in decades past. Why not? Because any time a bear came near human habitation it was likely to get shot. So they developed a fear of humans. Now, thanks to animal rights and anti-hunting activists, we have a city full of bears that don't fear us in the least. The solution is obvious.

Not surprising that such a business should exist, since our governments have, in essence, been promoting the use of illicit drugs for some time now.

Rustad's first mistake was merging the Conservatives with the Liberal/BC United party during the election. He second mistake was adopting Liberal/BC United policies in an effort unite the party.I predict the next leader of the Conservative Party will come from the Liberal/BC United side, and he/she will turn it into an "NDP Lite" party and guarantee an NDP majority.

Carney will call an election for the spring, because he knows the longer he waits, the more people will get to know what he's really all about and the less popular he will become. People got a glimpse of the real Carney from the leadership debate, and the result was a drop in support for Liberals and a jump in support for Conservatives.

Carney said he will just move the carbon tax onto big "polluters". Which means he'll hammer the oil companies who will then pass it on to consumers, the price of gas may go down temporarily but will likely go up even higher as the hidden carbon tax.BC has the highest gasoline price in N. America, but I notice it hasn't made a difference in consumer habits. Carney previously said that's because the carbon tax wasn't anywhere near high enough.

We're in a cold snap. I can understand if the few remaining residents want a bonfire to warm up.
