Snow-removal customer feels like he got 'scammed'

See this is the problem with younger generations. If it didn't happen in the last two years, it didn't happen. 400cm is way too low for Northern Ontario. I don't understand the short memory of people who think this is a crazy year for snow. This is a NORMAL winter for Sault Ste. Marie. There is nothing special about this winter other than the November storm. This is how most winters were if you grew up in the 80's or 90's.

Waiting for the new release saying that they sold it for half what they paid.

I think given the circumstances the city has done all right. Maybe cut some slack here. These crews have been working non stop. Cant just wish the snow to disappear. Work like this takes time. Thank you to all the city workers putting in extra time over the last few days to keep the city open.

Awesome idea, horrible location. I'm setting the over/under at three days before it's stolen or vandalised.

US liquor is sold on consignment. You don't actually pay for it until it's sold in the store. Essentially they loan the bottles to the retailer and then get paid when it's sold.

So proud of my union brothers and sisters from CUPE for standing up for all of our rights to collectively bargain and initiate work action when called for. I'm glad they are standing up to a government that says they are for the working class but for the last 10 years have sided with the billion dollar corporations. The Steelworkers and all other unions are behind you!!

Wayne A - By all account they did and she refused to listen.

Good on the Library board for having some common sense here. If you don't like the content of the book just don't read it.

Instead of counter tariffs, let's just shut the flow of oil and electricity off completely.

Sounds like someone wishes he had a union to fight for his rights.

Slim Shady - Provinces actually had a lot of autonomy at first. Remember Quebec and Ontario had open travel, but the Atlantic provinces closed their boarders to create the Atlantic bubble.

For perspective, I had a trip planned to Texas long before the elections. I decided to go anyways, because I'm not going to let "Agent Orange" dictate my life. I can tell you that every person I met while in Texas was super nice, especially when they found out I was Canadian. In fact they were ultra accommodating and genuinely happy to see or meet a Canadian.

The most successful experiment to display the main difference between Canada and USA.

Ya I live there and will be effected, and honestly I don't mind. The road needs to be fixed. We have several water main breaks every year, the road is far too narrow for two lanes. This work needs to happen.

Just wondering if someone at Sootoday is invested in this store? There have been way too many articles about this store opening for a normal new cycle.

Michael Garcia, the company's chief executive officer, will retire from Algoma Steel at the end of this calendar year after successfully leading the company through a period of major transformationThere has been nothing successful about his tenure. He facilitated the killing of 1000 jobs and his only successful years were post COVID when steel prices were through the roof and demand for steel was unlimited.Oh not to mention the company being charged for the death of a contractor.

Catherine Blain - We did follow them into war in the Middle East. We along with Britain were the first countries to enter Afghanistan with the US. Your story sounds pretty suspect.
