BayToday 49And there you have it folks. The decision was made before the doors were closed. No debate just a forced vote which was probably lead by the notorious group of 7. They did succeed in doing one thing though. They succeeded in creating a risk to public confidence and effective governance. It is no longer a risk it is a fact. IMO the majority of people have absolutely no respect or trust for Peter Chirico. Thus no confidence at all in effective governance. How that group of 7 supported him in the first place and continue to support him is mind boggling. Now that this is in the open I feel the motion should be presented again and debated properly. Not behind closed doors.

BayToday 30I am sure that the added frustration from the catch and release system that is currently in place does not help. It must be very stressful where an officer does his or her job in making an arrest. Only to have the "suspect" released then having to arrest that "suspect" for the same offences over and over again.

Gathering Place funding request denied by DNSSAB Board
BayToday 33Why is the gathering Place so secretive about their books? They said they were in financial trouble because of an oversite in making payments to Revenue Canada. They laid staff off and Dennis Chippa said he took a pay cut. Now they have asked for $140,000 of tax payers money from the DNSSAB. The DNSSAB asked for documentation to support the request but the Gathering Place has apparently refused to hand over the requested information or submit any financial statements at all. Until they open their books and submit everything showing where the money is being spent I feel that not another dollar of tax payer money should be supplied to them.

One thing different about all those is they never left Canada. Gretsky on the other hand has not lived in Canada for a long time. He has thrown his support behind a man that wants to get rid of Canada as a country. Trump even said that his friend Greztky would be a good governor for the 51st state. Never once has Gretzky said anything about that. He has only let it be known that he supports Donald Trump the one that wants to get rid of Canada as a country. That in my opinion makes him a traitor.

19I have never cared much for Doug Ford and care even less for out local MPP. But I will give credit where credit is due. It is nice to see Doug Ford standing up for not only Ontario but the whole of Canada. I wish the Federal Government would come on board and hit Elon Musk even deep in his pocket book by banning the sale of or putting a 100 percent tax on tesla and anything else pertaining to that wannbe dictator.

BayToday 28They should have gotten rid of Chirico and Mendicino at the same time. I wonder how King and Mayne feel now that their good buddy who they supported and refused to help in removing is mayoral powers feel now. We will never know how he voted because once again things were handled behind closed doors. But I think it safe to assume that Chirico voted in favour of having them removed. I wonder when the OPP will release their findings concerning our dishonorable mayor. He should not be on any board.

How is it that "new" Canadians find or are given jobs and housing while so many natural born Canadians cannot get work or housing? Almost all convenience stores, fast food restaurants like Burger King, Subway etc. are operated and staffed by new Canadians. I think WalMart has more new Canadians working there than natural born Canadians. I know some will think what I have said is being racist. I am not racist just stating facts.

The Inspector General of Policing has commenced an investigation into his actions and has removed him from the North Bay Police service board. He has openly admitted to using tax payer's money for his own personal purchases. Now to add injury to insult we have the majority of council choosing to conduct business behind closed doors? What are they trying to hide? If there is nothing to hide then there is no reason for anything to be done behind closed doors.The sad thing is unless the OPP are fast with their investigation we could be stuck with Chirico as mayor until the next election which comes in the fall of 2026.
