The Bench told to stop serving homemade food after complaint

29A thought ... mention was made of some school kids having made sandwiches ... perhaps that could be done as an ongoing project by the schools around Guelph? Yes, it leaves a gap when kids are gone for the summer ... but .... where there's a will, there's a way ... and not all kids leave town and are looking for something to do! An alternate plan could surely be put together.Food Safety is a concern, I understand ... and it should be for each and every one of us in our personal lives too.Keeping that in mind, but focusing it to The Bench ... while Public Health is requiring the food to be made in certified kitchens ... what is PH doing to ensure that once the food leaves the certified kitchens that it is properly handled and stored? How long is it sitting around without refrigeration? or heat? ... or sitting out in the open in this heat? THAT might be a bigger concern and risk for all concerned than the uncertified home kitchen and food handler!!!

GuelphToday 5Election Year Folks!Remember this when you go to the ballot box in October.For the Councillor's for/against ... which ones are running/not, in the election?Heritage is important ... but the cost factor truly needs to be considered vs. the overall budgetary needs.Aside from saving heritage ... what is the need for this bridge? and its purpose post-restoration? Might be better to put the money towards improvements to the road and the already-existing newer bridge to handle the current traffic needs ... and the increasing traffic coming with the new transit building being built.Meanwhile ... if the money does not go to the above ... I am sure there are a few (a lot? :)) other needs in Guelph that could absorb the funding for the good of the people!

GuelphToday 4Thanks for the input from someone directly involved in the process. Looking from the outside in, I went "what"? and thought that this "hold" concept was SO wrong. Thanks for speaking up to confirm my suspicions right. With actions like this, it's no wonder that dog rescues do not have the best reputations.
