The Bench told to stop serving homemade food after complaint

A thought ... mention was made of some school kids having made sandwiches ... perhaps that could be done as an ongoing project by the schools around Guelph? Yes, it leaves a gap when kids are gone for the summer ... but .... where there's a will, there's a way ... and not all kids leave town and are looking for something to do! An alternate plan could surely be put together.Food Safety is a concern, I understand ... and it should be for each and every one of us in our personal lives too.Keeping that in mind, but focusing it to The Bench ... while Public Health is requiring the food to be made in certified kitchens ... what is PH doing to ensure that once the food leaves the certified kitchens that it is properly handled and stored? How long is it sitting around without refrigeration? or heat? ... or sitting out in the open in this heat? THAT might be a bigger concern and risk for all concerned than the uncertified home kitchen and food handler!!!

Surely ... the staff could endure Friday weddings ... as well as get ready for the election.Really?

Quoting from above ..."...certain accident benefits like income replacement and death and funeral costs"would become optional." (as of July 1st)Interesting ... as just last week, I had a quote for auto insurance, including the rates for both of these, if I opted into the coverage. That says to me that they are already optional ...

Keep in mind, that it's not all about the Mayor. There are Councilors that should shoulder the blame too.Sure, the Mayor is at the helm ... and gets the majority of the blame ... whether due or not.

White is correct ... it has looked like a gravel pit (or worse) for a long long time!Being that the gas station is closed ... is it going to be rebuilt as part of the site plans? Or will it not return to open for business?

No mention about the LCBO hours also being extended ... 9am til 11pm Ford et Co repeatedly project an infatuation with all things booze. Why don't they just make it accessible 24/7 ... and be done with it!(And no ... I am NOT in favour of it!)Oh but then, they would not be able to have "new" announcements with every season and every event!

Quite the array of signs!

@Gruntfutak ... yet, it seems that the daughter and son-in-law were there as the demolition happened. So? How did that timing happen? Doubtful that it was purely coincidental!Like most things ... there's likely a lot more in the back story to this, than what we are reading. Too, that too many are making too many assumptions. One question that I have ... were other people/encampment(s) in the vicinity or elsewhere in Guelph removed along with this man and his structure?

@DR64 ... No problems with the non-invite!Though, you would think if they are such an incredible upstanding group in the community, then they would at least want others to know why and what they are celebrating! You know how it's always good to learn about Good News Stories in Guelph?

Sure hope that a healthy donation was made to the volunteer firefighter organization for their part in seeing this production come together.Surprised that Petronijevic did not follow in his own vehicle to see the firefighters in action.Maybe shows that yes, it was the end of that gig, and he was totally finished ... just gotta get outta Dodge!
