President Joe Biden drops out of the 2024 race after disastrous debate inflamed age concerns

The world owes Biden extreme thanks for a brilliant 4 years. He was the perfect antidote for the madness that was in place for the 4 years before him. He provided a master class in governing with dignity.

How anybody could possibly believe Poilievre would be an improvement on Trudeau baffles me. I agree Trudeau is past his best before date, but Poilievre hasn't a single redeeming characteristic and numerous failings.

Lazy, lazy man. Consistently ignores the tough issues. When he does take "action", it is always superficial and ineffective. Cars and booze. Booze and cars. A poseur.

Captain Canada indeed. Ford just can't stay in his own lane. And everything he attempts is a dismal failure. Alley Oop in a suit.

I avoid downtown like the plague because of all the people loitering about. Some smoke dope outside the library entrance while others sleep in the library, and yet others befoul the library's washrooms. I don't feel safe walking the streets, so I only patronize the stores if I can park within a few steps of the door. I have empathy, but not for those who "assert their rights" at my expense.

We're doomed if we're relying on this guy to represent Canada. On the other hand, he is tRump's equal in many ways and just might get through to him.

Heaven forbid we acknowledge that the bylaw isn't appropriate in every situation.

Bribing us with our own money. All while he causes untold damage to health care, education, affordable housing, the environment and elder care.

All of the decisions made by the hospitals and health care facilities were based on the most informed opinions and guidance available. Groups and individuals who ignored, or defied the rules were acting against the public interest. Health care workers who refused to get vaccinated did so knowing full well they would not be able to work. Despite what Nic K may think, the system did a very good job under the circumstances.

He's embodied cruelty in his mishandling of healthcare, education, the environment, and affordable housing. Zero compassion for his "friends", or us "folks".

Ford doesn't care about the majority. Just his wealthy sponsors.

4 more years of this charlatan? No thank you.

He isn't allowed to be interviewed ? That seems to speak volumes about PP's insecurities and control mania.

It's nobody's business but the property owner.

Obviously our elected representatives have zero sense of fiscal responsibility.

Little PP just bit the dust. Carney is his exact opposite. Carney has vision and the means to achieve that vision. Carney has a lengthy track record of meaningful accomplishments. Carney shows respect for others. Petty Pierre has none of that.

Our Mayor-for-life will be sure to tell us how much hard work it took to hold the increase to that level. I dont think we hold City Hall accountable enough. I believe it is safe to say that a long, hard look at the salary workforce would reveal significant opportunities to reduce costs without diminishing the services provided to the taxpayers.

Enriching the wealthy and clobbering the disadvantaged. Ontario's Premier at work.

Yet another link in an unbroken chain of deceitful behaviour and verbiage from Ford. But it shouldn't be a surprise. He's gotten away with it since he was a teenage purveyor of illicit substances.

My wife and I avoid downtown because of the homeless. We don't feel safe. That doesn't mean we are bad people. It means we have seen and heard enough to cause us to conclude that the best thing for us to do is to stay away.
