Not so golden: Older adults are a lot more lonely (and broke) these days

Some older people have supported their adult children. Some are really sick. Some have fallen victim to recent scams targetting older people. Don't judge.

How is this person's death a direct result of Mayor Guthrie's directive? Did the mayor give them the drugs? The safe consumption site is right down the street. The person could have chose to use there where they would have had access to help.

I wish he would realize that the citizens of Guelph, along with GPS, don't want him as an officer who is supposed to protect the citizens of Guelph.

Next time show pictures of the football game since that's what homecoming is about. Everyone already knows about the drunk students.

I've always thought of Guelph as a really bad game of The Sims. No proper housing, schools or other amenities to be sufficient of covering the population and expansion of Guelph.

Another waste of money by the city.

Thank God that awful place is finally gone!

Maybe landlords are finally realizing that almost $2000 for a one bedroom is ridiculous. I don't want to be paying someone else's mortgage.

I'm very sorry for the families suffering and loss of this woman. However, please don't shame the humane society. They are a charity that does lots of great work for animals. I'm sure the vet bill was probably less than full price.

The Shoppers Drug Mart should be built. There isn't a single one in the entire city that's on the west side of the Hanlon.

If Mr.McCusker was unclear about the letter, perhaps he could have initiated follow-up contact?

What a generous thing to do! I wish more businesses would step up to help the community if they can. I know where I'll be eating on Wednesday!

Not everything has to be PC. It's the simple naming of a park.

Very nice gesture of these two girls. It was a different time when I was a child because I would often go around the neighbourhood trying to raise money for different environmental and animal issues. I would always notify my parents, send it in, etc. Nobody questioned your intentions at that time.
