This is a prime example of the Carney Liberals deflecting results of there own criminal investigations into hundreds of conflict of interest claims that are now being investigated and other financial dealings that they refuse to acknowledge to the public tax paying citizens . The Liberals can only LEARN from the Doug Ford P.C. party //// instead they keep trying to treat the citizens of Canada like were stupid. Who is Carneys Bag Man along with his bias based Media?

So much for the safety of children of Guelph , this has got to be one of the most ridiculous solutions possible . Maybe some restructuring at the City Hall could make a lot of needed space .

The whole world is in turmoil , and all of Canada is falling into state of no return due to the Liberal party mass immigration disaster and Guelph's biggest quest for survival is reusable food containers. City council have to much time on there hands if this is a big priority and also a useless Bylaw !!

That is not a cure or helping anyone period!! Why not give alcoholics more alcohol, smokers more tobacco, criminals more weapons, these people need to be dried out with medical help and or involuntary incarceration methods . The cities method of keep poisoning them to help is not working and will not work !!!!!

About time the city started enforcing some of the laws that are to keep the city safe for all citizens. Why do all these helping hands etc. have to be front and center [ downtown ] where residents shop and do their banking etc. Maybe a better place would be at some of the disgusting litter covered encampments all over the city. People have to help themselves sometimes. Clean up after yourselves.

Existing council members should not be making this decision as favoritism and pass practice would and can be a major influence when voting , especially when it involves past council members . A fresh face and new outlooks would be a nice change.

Revenue neutral????????? How about some cameras and tickets at cross walks and bike lanes or are the pedestrians and cyclists exempt as usual. What is the case with electric bikes and other modified vehicles without any needed license identification most that are well capable of exceeding posted speeds?? [ When are the next 25 coming??]

"WE" decided to close the parking /// who are" WE "?? Did WE give any thought or consideration to the tax paying citizens that live on all the small traffic volume streets, in and all around the park area for driveways blocked , pedestrian crossing with all the parking congestion and several other issues. The city of Guelph spends TENS of THOUSANDS of dollars every year putting traffic calming devices all over these streets to stop increased use , and then at this event " WE " and the city of Guelph promote it by having no parking ???????

Well Adam Donaldson we will see how ill-informed you are with your comments at election time !!

More wasted time and money. Time and people involved equals Money wasted , money in a case like this should be put forward into proper education of todays youth . Let's keep the politics and the wokeness agenda out of our schools and get back to common sense education. We can honor past people that made a difference in our community's by naming schools etc. after them . Lets quit trying to erase history and the people that made it. The Liberal Government tried to and look where they are.

More , More , and More taxes . City council is excellent for one thing , and that's dreaming of ways to spend money and raise taxes to do so . If our city council is so intent to dream up these never ending proposals how about they pay for them instead raising taxes and draining other resources. Some of these people need help but others do not . Keep handing out money and the free for all will grow and grow. City council should consider how there actions will impact the city as a whole and not just a small minority.

Remove all the vehicles ? Delivery Vehicles / Public Transportation / Emergency Vehicles / easy mode for downtown shopping and special events . Remove the Fountain in the square that was a gift to Guelph to help beautify the downtown area . This plan will be a wonderful area for a children's playground with swings, slides, and lots of drug used garbage all over the place as it will be a excellent place for some to visit for hand outs and business transactions with so many offenders out on bail for the 6th time. Wake up Guelph staff and Counsel members and get your head out of [ Alice and Wonderland] This is downtown Guelph and before you want to create the Yellow Brick Road , start by cleaning the real problems first /// DRUGS , HOMELESSNESS, EXCESSIVE BARS , CRIME , PUBLIC SAFETY !!!! Until then that 100 to 150 million dollars of Guelph tax payers money could be spent on a new HOSPITAL.

Is the city going to be liable for damage and injury for trees etc that are under there protection bylaws . What about the thousands of urban shelter [trees ] that the city sacrifice's to there own end for development and the more and more and more homes movement. The city wants to regulate your homes structure and appearance and now there in our back yards // what's next the kitchen , bathroom or bedroom ?? Let's start doing something for the citizens of Guelph like lowering the tax burden on home owners instead of more unnecessary costs and bylaws.

No !!!!!!! eMERGE does not speak for all the citizen's of Guelph { they are a very small part of Guelph that are on the fossil fuel , climate change movement] Yes rates will increase along with the companies increased costs . What about all our money the Federal government has taken out of our pockets for the Carbon Tax? Think before you speak is always a smart move , Does Hydro pay this land fee for ALL there land usage to the City of Guelph or are they exempt for being a Green ?

Ms Lammel should be ashamed of her approach to our senior citizens about CLIMATE change. There is so much more information available about the causes and problems and corrective measures to help correct climate change than her own one sided political motivated rhetoric. All people now realize that the earth is round so please start telling all the facts and not just your political preferences to all our citizens of Guelph including our senior citizens.

Thanks Doug Ford for making a common sense decision and acting on it before we end up like the total mess the Federal Government has made in British Colombia . You can sometimes help these people in ways other than feeding them all the free drugs they want and feeling sorry for them. You don't help known criminal's by giving them guns and knives and you don't help druggies by feeding them free dope

When is this garbage going to stop? There has to be a given time to respond to these allegations? NOT 60 years later after the accused has died !!!!!!

A very good thing Guelph city council should do is Worry More about the mess they have helped to create in this once proud City of Guelph , and quit being a little minority that loves dictating there dreams to the vast majority of hard working tax payers. [ How about a tax reduction or a spending freeze ]

Lets get back to basic/ basic education and forget about creating a nightmare of idea's that are mostly implemented to justify an increasingly number of over paid management personal. Forget dreaming up new School Board names and excess political policies and put these millions of dollars into a learning school system that is , and has been lacking the need for real and prosperous education. The Upper Grand District School Board needs a new direction and approach to a Common Sense Education now.
