Theres a small encampment in the bush at the corner of Arthur and the highway by the airport and the new hotels. we walked in there to have a look and there were dozens of propane cylinders all over the place and piles of trash.

They always talk about the "rich corporate landlords". there are many small landlords that own one or 2 properties that cant afford to be stuck with a tenant that doesn't pay. Many have gone bankrupt because of some tenant that refuses to pay or cant pay and will not leave. It can take 1 to 2 years to get a tenant out leaving the landlord to foot the bill and lose everything. is this really fair?

that place is dangerous! Police should have a station and presence there at all times. There are good people that are stuck living this nightmare and deserve to feel safe.

Most sports teams in the city are cancelling all of their trips to the states, it has nothing to do about whether or not people are nice it has everything to do with how the current administration has been treating Canada. The people need to suffer to finally get the guts to stand up to these ridiculous policies.

Great local success story! too bad that they are being forced to compete against the government....Ontario Northland should not be operating on routes that the private sector can handle. Ontario Northland loses money, let the private sector do the job!!!!!!

This policy of not naming people is silly, you really need to rethink this.

These people need to be close to where the services are, this should have went on Miles street as originally planned. There are no social services anywhere near the Hillyard site. I dont like it going on Miles st but its the only site that makes sense.

Why we are not just putting up another Dome is crazy, the cities defense to this is that domes are not good for our climate but that's not true....Edmonton put up the countries largest dome for under 10 Million. Our dome served us well for many many years and only faltered due to poor maintenance and ownership. Our city desperately needs an indoor facility but this is not the right one to be building. That being said....it looks like its too late now, this facility will be full year round with all the different organizations that need it. Soccer, football, baseball, cricket just to name a few. Those that call this a "soccer plex" that only caters to soccer players are sadly misinformed.
