I think some councilors have forgotten the cost to taxpayers to clean up their property after the major ice storm. In some cases property owners paid out thousands of dollars that they did not expect to pay out . In some caes the icestorm clean up cost was more then their total tax bill for the year .

If council knew their lawyer could not attend the meeting , why was it not cancelled ? Seems to me council waisted 112 peoples time and the cost have having staff attend ,when they could have been doing their normal jobs . Also the speakers in the council chambers are terrible , most people could not hear what was being said by anyone . Please adjust the volumn for the next meeting .

I think anyone who makes a comment on here should give their real name . Kind of gutless to speak your mind with out giving your name . I respect the people who use their name when having something to add to the story . Yes i understand u must register to make a comment with Orillia Mattees . I think it is time Orillia Matters changes their policey on comments . That writer uses his or her real name .Who agrees ?
