The price of gas at Meijers yesterday was $3.16 U.S. If you use 67.5 cents as the US equivalent of the Canadian $ (don't forget bank conversion charge of 2.5 cents ) and 3.78 litrees per U.S. gallon you get a price of 3.16 divided by .675 and then by 3.78 = $1.238 Canadian per litre. Today's gas price at Canadian Tire is $ 1.289 but a gas card brings that down to $1.239.So, gas on this side is 1/10 of a cent more per litre but it won't cost you $10 to cross the bridge. So, stay home.

I recall how women liked Pierre Trudeau and therefor the men hated him. The same is true of Justin. Classic display of lunchbox mentality.

My 2 cats have a staircase up to a basement window with a cat door opening to a 60'X100' pen with escape proof (or entry proof ) fencing. They come and go at will and are healthy, safe and happy.

Please tell me exactly how much the carbon tax costs you after the rebate.

I have to wonder about the point of view of the writer of this piece. He speaks of Trump as "outraged" and " exasperated" as though Trump were the offended party. This bully and tyrant is guilty of instigating all of these problems and has no right to feel offended or injured in any way

Tuition at medical schools should be free for students choosing the family doctor option. Those choosing to be specialists should still pay tuition although it should/could be reduced. This would not only bring more students into the nedical field but tip the balance to family medecine. Of course more spaces at medical schools must be developed.

When are you going to cross reference with "DO YOU WATCH FOX NEWS" . You could use sub categories of watching , e.g., sometimes, all the time, never. That would give a much more meaningful picture than some of these artificial ones

I have no problem with helping to fund the recovery of the organization. However I feel that the name should be changed to reflect the more inclusive nature of it.It is no longer restriced to young men of Christian faith.

Please define "affordable". These 11 units will have an average cost of $450K. To what level of income will they be affordable ?

But he claimed he paid 40% income tax. That means he makes over $250 000 per year. He can afford solid gold teeth.

Definitely a good comment. Ford did not back down. He plays his cards well.

Just another grandiose scheme from the Ring of Fire. It matters not what Sudbury or Wyloo want or say. Nothing will come out of the RoF until the First Nations say it will....and they cannot even agree among theselves.

There are going to be some very hard decisions to be made because of Trump's actions. The governing party will need to be certain it has a strong mandate before making these. The election is being called to give you, the taxpaying voter the chance to give one of the parties this solid OK to make these decisions on our behalf. Vote sensibly and perhaps we might come through the oncoming perfect storm.

Man people in this city donated up to $5000 to support the building of the new hospital. They do not get or expect to get any preferential treatment at the hospital. The men at Algoma Steel did a good thing but should not expect to come before others in the community at the Group Health Centre.

It can't be too bad. Recently an algoma steel employee complained to the Prime Minister that he paid 40% income tax...that translates to an income in excess of $250 000.
