I agree with your comment especially re: cement bollards. These are a bigger hazard! Take ‘em out!!!

I read an earlier article that 80% of the fines collected from the 4 speed cameras go back to the owner of the cameras - in the US! Especially in times like this with the government pushing everyone to buy Canadian, our local gov is sending Guelph money Stateside. I really think the City needs to take a pause and consider sourcing the cameras from within Canada. I have mixed feelings about how these speed cameras are being used (zero tolerance) but I absolutely do resent sending Canadian $$$ outside of Canada! Come on City Hall - do better!

I’d imagine the vast majority will be student housing, with investors buying up the units and renting them out.
