I personally still think Canadians should still stand our ground and buy Canadian made products before even considering American made. One month doesn't really mean anything. President Trump is trying to use scare tactics and threats to get what he wants, even though he's basing these decisions on misinformation. I hope people realize that this is 1939 repeating itself. Different dictator different field. Appeasement didn't work then it's not going to work now. Trump is this generation's Hitler. He threatens without a leg to stand on. His Peace Board sounds more like other countries paying protection money. He has (without Congress' s approval ) invaded other countries. This man can't be taken seriously. I appreciate the fact our Prime Minister has taken steps to create stronger trade deals with other countries. If all the rest of the world would stop any form of trade with the USA then maybe that will make the American people take Trump out of office. He is guilty of violating international laws and war crimes maybe he should be brought before the Hague to answer for his crimes.

Having read the experiences of Mr. Onofrio, it brings to light how scary some situations must be for our paramedics. They should have wages equal to our firefighters and city police. We depend on these people who at any given moment are our lifeline when facing serious possibly life threatening medical situations. They should be given more training so they are prepared for anything. Given illegal drugs (and sometimes even legal ones) are an issue in our community, hopefully our paramedics can secure the training needed whether through contract negotiations or through the government so they can feel both secure and prepared when entering any situation. Lastly thank you to all of our paramedics for being there for all members of our community.

Why should city tax dollars go towards the YMCA? Not everyone in this city uses the Y. The membership fees were too expensive for most families. As for the child care that is important for those families who rely on it to be able to go to work.

There are so many other problems in this city that that should have been used for. There is a unequal balance of power in landlord/tenant relations. Tenants should have safe, maintained units free from bugs, rodents, and fire hazards. On the other hand good law abiding landlords should be treated with respect as well. Tenants should pay their rent, and respect the agreements they sign. There are some bad apples on both sides that create the unbalanced levels of power.

His Majesty has expressed concern in past for environment but he has tried to encourage people to look into his suggestions. But he will state how he feels about Trump. As for having King Charles as our figure head, it goes back to our historical roots and our status as part of the Commonwealth. How long have you lived here in the Sault?? Algoma Steel at one time was the largest employer in the Sault. Many families survived on those paychecks thus putting food on their tables and roofs over their families heads. I'm a proud granddaughter of a steelworkers. So please rethink your comment.
