You can't eliminate cars from downtown, businesses cant really solely on foot traffic, and tell me how delivery trucks will get to the businesses. Look at the bike lanes throughout our city, they have done nothing but create traffic flow problems and 99% of the time there is never a cyclist in sight.
Kills me when Councillors are absent from meetings. This is a part time job and yet they still can't make it to all meetings and think they are deserving of a wage increase. Can't wait for the next election so this Council and Mayor can be voted out.Time for a change.
Such a shame, really feel bad for these people.I'm sure there were finger prints left behind based on the video, and I'd guess they likely have a criminal past, hope GPS goes the extra mile for these business owners.
hmmm was ok to travel during covid but not ok go back to work?? Certainly hope this man is doing ok but it sounds like someone else who doesn't want to go back to work post covid, you cant be a full time teacher from home, I'm sorry that just doesn't work. All the best, I hope you are able to get some help for your anxiety.
Agree with Ben There, the $600k should come from the Storm not from tax payers who are already paying too much in taxes. Don't kid yourself, the Storm would love to host this tournament for the financial gains they'd receive as well. What a terrible time for our main street to be completely torn up for construction, that will likely be one of the main factors in us not winning the bid.I hate to say it but Kitchener has more going for themselves than Guelph does when you look at all factors, hotels, parking, seating capacity.
And what if a councillor decided to move half way through there term, does it really matter where they reside in Guelph? Another reason the ward system needs to change, just let us vote for the best councillors for our city instead of a ward breakdown. Some people have businesses in a different wards than they live but they cant vote for the ward their business is in.
Guelph is one of the last communities to have their rink open and going for the public to enjoy. I certainly hope they have it ready by this weekend as the weather will be cold enough all week long and hopefully with all our tax dollars we spend they would use the underground piping that was installed to keep it frozen if the weather turns a bit milder.
