Poilievre all the way! No more Liberal lies and fake promises while they pursue WEF agenda’s selling out our sovereignty. My thoughts and point of view.
I feel for our police officers and the situation they find themselves in with this catch and release craziness. No wonder the costs are high as crime is no longer dealt with properly in the court system due to the laws that keep releasing criminals into our streets. Tougher on crime would reduce the costs. I don’t think the OPP uphold laws that are different than what our city police services do. Just my opinion and Sonny hasn’t been in the force for how long?
Definitely not. How much power and control do you want governments to have. We need to get back to basics and teach our kids to be discerning following laws that govern mankind. Let’s look back in history and see what we’re missing. Oh yes! Life’s guide book If you have a problem with your automobile you take it to repair shops that use manuals for reference. What a novel idea. The designers knew how things are supposed to work. Mankind also has a designer.
If this is what I think it is. City council should not be contributing tax payers money to fund federal political rally. The organizers should be footing the bill. That’s what fund raising is for.
Thanks to carbon taxes on fuel which farmers use to provide our foods, transportation to get foods to stores, on heating these stores etc. Thanks statscan for telling us what we already know
Our police officers uphold the law. Politicians come up with these laws or rules whatever you want to call it. Chasing down and arresting the same people over and over just to let them go again is the kind of nonsense that our government has established with the policy Uic catch and release for lack of a better term. One police officer described their job as trying to bail the ocean out with a teaspoon. Consequences need to be put in place to meet the severity of the crime and if you must release the culprit then do so way up north or better yet a one way ticket to Ottawa.
I would agree that the YMCA is not for everyone but it is an essential place in this city that provides so much more than meets the eye. Daycare facilities, social place to meet folks of like mind, fitness classes of all types and for all ages and abilities, a place that offers hope to those who need a positive change in their life, dance lessons, swim lessons, personal fitness guides/instructors and so on. I would challenge anyone that doesn’t think the Y should survive here to join for a period of time and see for yourself. It is very affordable and inclusive. Oh I might add that winters are cold and long so the YMCA offers a safe place to walk run cycle, Zumba what ever you desire to stay healthy and fit. My family have been long time members and have benefited greatly from what the YMCA offers. Thanks. Frank Albidone
In the investment world we are told not to put all our eggs into one basket. I was hired in 1974 and worked until 2009. There has been a tremendous amount of downsizing to the point that when I last went in working as a tradesman through a contractor I couldn’t hardly recognize the place. 12000 employees then and where are they now? 3000? I remember one mill being shut down because there apparently was no demand for the products produced there, but shortly after the mill equipment was moved out and there were rumours that Mexico was the recipient. Makes you wonder!!! Just my opinion!
A country the size of Canada should have a strong military budget to meet all its needs. I also believe that every qualified citizen should be allowed to have their own weapons to help defend our country against all enemies foreign and domestic. Hopefully it never comes to that but we live in a very strange time.
Carney hand picked by Trudeau! Where was Carney and what was he doing and suggesting as Trudeau advisor? Wake up people it’s time for a change. Liberals have overstayed their welcome. It’s pretty obvious. Look at our country our young people struggle to make ends meet even working several jobs. Go Pierre go!
Group Health Centre should focus its efforts on patient care not physicians recruitment. Governments both civic and provincial should bare that burden. Our health care has taken a beating over the last number of years do get at it elected ones.
Nice timing! Just before an election. Another project that may have to be turned around to get the 62 billion dollar debt cleaned up. A good way to make the next government look terrible??????? We need sustainable jobs not handouts. We also need a government that thinks through issues before enacting them and a government that knows what the word budget means.
This is great news to wake up to. Thank you so much to the Lukenda family, Algoma Steel, the City of Sault Ste. Marie, all who stepped up renewing memberships and to those who may yet step up now after this absolutely great announcement. Our family has been involved with the YMCA for many years. Frank and Debbie Albidone
We were created with free will to choose. All choices have consequences so it’s best to make our choices having all the facts. This is not a judgment just sharing what know to be true.
Is this really necessary? Costs are going crazy everywhere and to change what’s been working for as I can remember seems like wasted effort. At least for now.
Sault, Michigan has had the traffic lights go to flashing red lights late at night. I personally had to wait through a red light at 5:00 am on my way to work and no traffic coming across the intersection. Total waste of time and fuel.
The non confidence vote was to take place a while back but Mr. Singh wouldn’t support it when Pierre initiated it. Now you want to lead the charge and think the PC’s may step in? Trying to take credit for it now that’s at least you’re moving in the right direction. Oh and the comments about illegal guns coming in from the US that’s an interesting comment. Why then attack law abiding citizens with all these senseless restrictions on guns? Our country is very large, our military under funded our police forces undermanned and now disarming our people seems like a good idea????? Not in my book.
