It has been said for quite a while that "Trudeau Must Go".It may finally happen. But the coronation of Mark Carney as an unelected PM means that the Liberal shenanigans that flourished under Trudeau will continue.Carney has avoided most scrutiny by mainstream media and already been called out for many questionable and misleading statements.A friend of mine has an expression- "Same funny smelling stuff, just a different day."
Slate is defined as a list of candidates in an election.Just wondering how many Liberal candidates are running with a deep cloud of suspicion as a foreign influenced candidate. Probably none in Northern BC. But in the big southern cities, where politics is smelly to the core of Canadian values, I have doubts that all candidates are running with Canada as a first agenda.I do not believe anything Mark Carney says.Taking the security clearance just made it impossible for him to name current and former MP's that have been named in a secret report.Trudeau created this wall of secrecy to hide Liberal corruption at an international levelCarney says he is breaking away from Trudeau's disastrous legacy, but yet Carney is hiding foreign interference under Trudeau's legacy of secrecy.Carney has three passports, Irish, British and Canadian. just-in wondering what one he is currently using?Just-in cannot believe anything that comes from a Liberal.
The Winds of Political Change continue in BC and Canada.Common sense Conservatives vs. Radical NDP.Finally a real choice.Even former Green leader Andrew Weaver is flirting with the idea of a common sense John Rustad led Government.
A common sense plan from John Rustad. What are Eby and Trudeau doing? They are playing with matches in a room full of explosive material, they just want a War to cover up their inept and Woke policies that have failed BC and Canada. After the room explodes Trudeau has already stated that he is going to run away and hide. When will Eby see the light of failed social and economic policy and ride away into the sunset?
A "war room" with no money in it.Eby has spent the past 3 plus years running deficits that have depleted the war chest for a war.Maybe Eby spent too much money on so called "Safe Supply""Safe supply" was not safe for British Columbians and it is certainly not to safe to the BC economy when "Safe Supply" and a porous border angers a powerful neighbour.
Great police work, with quick release = the real question= how many more car thefts, robberies, police chases, minor injuries of third parties and car crashes until the unspecified 'future' court date.Just wondering?Trudeau cannot resign soon enough.
The Liberal Party baffles us again.Looking at all 338 federal ridings. The 85.9% Mark Carney win was balanced with a winning margin of 85% + or - 5% in just about all of Canada's 338 Federal ridings. (there was one riding with only 18 votes cast and Carney got 100%)How could Mark Carney be so consistent in his win across such a diverse and currently divided population?Something is very baffling. To win by by a similar margin in all riding is a statistical anomaly.I looked at one analisis today that used an analogy of trying to flip a coin and getting the head side to come up 100 times in a row. It would be hard to believe it could happen.Just about impossible. just like this vote pattern of Carney winning at a fairly consistent margin across the entire country is hard to believe.
Get REAL.1)-Prince George is not suffering like those 21 smaller communities.2)-Prince George gets a fair share when residents of those 21 small communities go to Prince George to spend money on goods and services not available in their smaller communities.
In total agreement with John Rustad on using Natural Gas to Generate electricity to power more mines and more employment in BC mines in the North west of BC. Tired of seeing raw gas to be exported without any value added to the BC economy.I am a little tired of stories that I am hearing about many BC employed miners living in Alberta where it is cheaper to live and fly in for two week work periods. I have been on airplanes from Alberta to BC and seeing camp job workers on them is disheartening. Why are many of these BC camp job workers choosing to live in Alberta? BC needs to gets its house in order, lower taxes, be competitive with Alberta and create jobs for British Columbians. Also completely agree that one needs to prove residency to vote.BC is a disaster zone.
The real Tin Hats are people that call extreme rainstorms 'Rivers in the Sky'. The real Tin Hats are people that think a Carbon Tax will stop those 'Rivers in the Sky'The real Tin Hats are people that think that 'Free Safe Supply' will stop overdose deaths. The real Tin Hats are people that say boys are girls.Time for real Canadians to step up and stop all forms of Tin Hat insanity.
Liberal's appear to be having a hard time nominating candidates in Northern BC.The Liberal Party banner in Northern BC was tarnished by Pierre Trudeau. The Liberal Party banner in Northern Bc has been totally destroyed by Justin Trudeau.Alberta is starting to seriously talk about succession, maybe Northern BC should join Alberta.Canada is failing to support resource sectors but continues to drain that resource wealth from rural to urban and especially from the west to the east.Enough is enough. Mark Carney is continuing the deviseniss of justin Trudeau.I do not worry about how Trump is treating Canada, we seem to have avoided the worst of his tarif threats today.I worry about how Eastern Canada treats WESTERN CANADA.
This is a great article that may keep me interested in further reading the PG Citizen. It combines the local interest of Prince George and the broader picture of how Provincial and Federal policies affect Prince George. Most PG Citizen articles are only looking at local interest, without the broader problems of Canada.Side note, my anecdotally observations of my small community close to Prince George is that more people have died from toxic overdoses than Covid 19.Not just Prince George has a problem, all of Northern BC has a problem, all of BC and all of Canada has a big problem. To put a label on these big problems, "WOKE POLITICS GONE SIDEWAYS" "WPGS"More National News Please.
It is called musical offices. When renovations are complete in one office location and the move is completed, the old office is put under renovation in preparation for the next move. And no, the private sector does not usually follow this concept of musical offices.
Congratulation Prince George. A Peaceful, nonviolent, reasonably quiet and short protest over a noon hour.Gather some people, phone the news media, get your point across and then go home.I listened and read their views, I do not agree with them but i appreciate the professionalism of this protest.Other more aggressive protesters in Canada should take note on how to protest.
I watched the election outcome on a social media channel that featured a professional polster and an Astro Phycisist that produces a weekly summation of all polling data across Canada and provincial elections. Canada 338. In their polling data and podcast the past couple of weeks they came close to a prediction to last nights results.Near the end of their show last night they had the political comment of the night. They predicted 'CHAOS" for BC.But that is nothing not new for BC politics.A second best comment from another more blue collar web podcast was 'Solar Panels for tents'All I know is when Elections BC issues final results chaos will follow. The tent cities will grow, the Vancouver elite will say nothing wrong with utter confusion(anarchy) that exist on Vancouver streets today. But it was the elite in Vancouver that voted NDP and you get what you vote for.
The new ballot system was interesting and poorly explained.A felt pen is used instead of pencil to mark the ballot. Instead of folding, the ballot is placed in a light cardboard folder. The folder is placed into a scanning machine. The scanner pulls the ballot in and I believe it was counted and the vote was stored in the electronics in the scanner.I was told on the final election night the pre tabulated results will be sent to Elections BC with a push of a button, after all polls are closed. The ballot was safely deposited in a sealed box under the scanner. Not quite like voting from home, but this new experience left me wondering when voting from home will be available.Voting from home may be also a cheap viable way to keep government in check between elections. More referendum votes may restore people's faith in democracy.
BGeez, the permitting process was closer to twenty years rather than ten.And Sheesh-That renewable water powered grid built in the 1960's was originally intended to power industry in the North, not EV's in the the south.Amazed that this this mine was permitted at all.The Green Beanies must be having a hissy fit.Where will they get their power for their Model S Green Car?Maybe the North Shore Mountains in the Fraser Valley will need to be covered with wind mills.
Great news, this project is one of very few major construction projects in BC that is basically on time and on budget, Great work.Site C, Gas Pipelines, Gas LNG projects, TSX expansion, Bridges, Hospital builds are the notable failures of not getting things done on time or on budget. An article by Simon Little and Richard Zussman from Global news on June 5 2024 "Ging to Take Time" "No Quick Fix To Fix BC's Surging Infrastructure Cost" is interesting reading on government projects with huge cost overruns and major delays.Maybe Government should consult with Black Water Gold Mine Management on how to get things done. The Artemas Gold project is out in the bush where Labour and Materials are not easily available. Government projects are in mostly large urban areas that have massive access to Labour and Material. There is a problem with construction in BC and that problem originates in Victoria.
