How electric school buses could help fuel the power grid
42Oh please! This is beyond belief, beyond reality. These buses in the winter need to be topped up at all times, as the drain of energy for the heater is quite large, and 50% of our school term is in the winter. Last but extremely important that all our politicans avoid, there still isn't an environmental responsible way for disposing of these huge, used, retired, lithium batteries.

36Finances become difficult for those with so called indexed pensions, and are afraid to invest any surplus they may have in anything but GICs. The loneliness increases as beloved friends and family members predecease you. Then add ageism, the real tough odious discrimination that comes with old age when most people younger just assume all old peoples brain shrinks like a dried prune and have an IQ of a 3 yo.

20Doug Ford is not a conservative. He talks with a forked tongue......constantly misleading the people of Ontario. In November 2025 he increased our electricity bills by 29%, but to cover up the grab, he increased the so called Ontario tax credit on your bill to disguise it. This tax credit comes from your wallet, but since it is almost empty this so called premier just increases the Ontario debt, which is at an historical high and someday you the tax payer will be forced to pay it down and if you think life is tough now, you haven't seen anything yet.

1880 Million Dollars..... taxpayers dollars..... not Doug Fords dollars. How stupid. Fine.... do not allow citizens of Ontario to buy any alcohol produced in the USA.... but then sell the inventory to other provinces. Get OUR money back! We taxpayers were forced to give Doug Ford our money to buy it in the first place, and he does not have the right to sit on it until it perhaps rots or most likely eventually gets stolen.

18Thank you for your comment.... I am a life long conservative, but never liked or trusted doug ford, nor do I agree with 99% of what he says or does. He is doing a terrible job for Ontario, our debt is rising at an alarming rate, faster than Wynne did. His authoritarian reasoning from housing to liquor sales is down right scary.

7Amazing that no one so far on this comment board has noticed that that the USA GDP is up almost 4% while Canada's is negative, or their stock market has risen at a larger percent than ours, that they have reported job creation not job losses. 4Now we have The Association of Municipalities of Ontario to make decisions on spending more of the taxpayers money. And this 11 billion comes from where? There isn't a money tree. The Ontario deficit is out of control. So let's solve the problem of homeless folks by its root cause which is inflation, heavy tax burden, and turning a blind eye to the free drug safe injection sites.

4Actually I want top quality food products for my money, as your health is too important. Yes you are what you eat. Therefore do not care where it comes from, with a few exceptions. When it comes to meat, I prefer Maple Leaf brand because I have never been disappointed in their quality. Will only buy Canadian meat, never an exception. Will never buy any food for myself or my cat that comes from China, as they have had too many serious recalls. Other stuff such as vegs and etc. quality over source is number one.

3I remember it well. I lived in the S/!W area of Yonge and Steeles at the time, and worked in the Bayview Sheppard area. I do wish they would stop with the poking fun at Mel for asking the military for help... equipment was different then, we needed and very much appreciated the militarys help.
