Sort of closing the barn door after the horse is gone. These things are all over the place - good luck in applying any rules now. Saw one riding in the right traffic lane on Hwy 16, all dressed in black, no marker lights, turn signals, etc. The person then switched to the left lane and then into the left turn lane onto hwy 97. Not a hand signal to be seen. Oh, but he did have a bike helmet on!
PGborn - have you ever been in the library? My husband & I use the library regularly & there are always children & many "non-homeless" adults inside! The library lends out more than "ancient technology" books as well!!!!
In the late 80's & 90's the city gave away hundreds of ornamental fruit trees (pretty flowers, but useless "fruit") to be planted in the new subdivisions.
All the "illegal suites" in the McMansions already create parking and snow removal problems. Just look at southern Southridge Ave., Vista Rise Vista View, etc.
So, who will be enforcing these rules. Will the vendor be required to include a copy of the pertinent by-law so that all purchasers are aware of the rules (i.e. it's a sidewalk, pedestrians only). Are there age restrictions for operating an "e-vehicle" on public roadways?
Could someone from the city - maintenance or council - please itemize what exactly is done every year that the pools close for "maintenance"? e.g. if a window fails, why isn't it replaced when it's noticed (like during annual maintenance).
