I drove past it just for a look. Doesn’t look as bad as you’d think. What I and others can’t fathom is how this property in question is an issue but the junk yard across from the pineview store right on a highly traveled highway is allowed.

I’d rather seen my tax money allocated to helping a struggling single parent or senior. Can we vote to do that instead?

Carney called the shortest campaign window possible. Less time for people to get to know the real Mark Carney.

Maybe his party will build the tower right after the cariboo connector gets completed.. I also remember when his party introduced the carbon tax. Now he campaigns to axe it. Playing us all as fools. Hey wasn’t he part of giving away BC Rail too? Let’s kick the two party system to the curb and try something new.

“replacing the portion of property taxes that went to funding it previously.” - Does that mean we can expect to see a reduction in our current taxes? I think we all know the answer to that. They will tell us that we will see LESS of a tax increase.

700k for a washroom that will likely be closed 8 months of the year and be forced to lock its doors from sundown to sunup.

“among other rules some residents find unacceptable.”By chance.. are any of the rules, no D&A on the premises? This is what most residents speculate. Please educate us. What actually are these other rules? Because It seems like some of them want to live in a lawless land full of theft and assaults. Among other actions.

Considering the last election was held by the NDP during Covid lockdown for their own political gain. It signals that people are sick and tired of the decline of or society and want change to happen.

If all the stars aligned. Could someone enlighten me how the collective agreement would come into play? Would Brink be forced to pay employees Canfor type wages rather than Brink type wages?

“He lost his father to a drunk driver”So that makes it ok if I lose mine? This would spiral my family down the rabbit hole of generational trauma.

One for grouse. One for large game like moose. One for small game like coyotes. Long barrel Shot gun for geese and ducks. Short barrel shot gun for bear protection. One family heirloom. Not so silly is it.

Anyone who’s used the aquatic centre recently will likely agree that it needs some love. The level of love is a lot different than the picture the city paints. The original story said new reception area with new desks and whatnot. New curtain wall, new doors and windows. Yeah some of the windows are failed but the curtain wall (frames) have decades of practical use left. I remember when the automatic doors were replaced not many years ago. I’m sure the cost of those doors alone are tens of thousands of dollars. Is this going to be the same level of “reno” that Kin 1 received?

The story should read “RCMP Crack down on Crack use within city limits”

There is a special place in hell for the people who charge for parking around health care and educational institutions.

Why don’t we only employ Fire and Police services on non stats as well? To help with cost overruns Let’s cut some of the management costs. How about a vehicle pool for a shared vehicle? Freeze extra expenses for catering special events and no meetings outside of regular operating hours.

The whole purpose of a strike is to create a disruption. Let it runs its course. Power to the workers!
