How about slowing down the Hart Highway north of town. Traffic routinely moves at over 100 km/hr in the 60 and 70k zones. It's hazardous to drive at or near the speed limit due to the aggressive driving of many people.

A suggestion has been made that the affected businesses should hire armed security. Arned security does not exist in Canada, except for armored cars, but armed security has been hired. They're called police. The real problem is the courts.

Hang up and call the non-emergency line? How about simply informing the caller that they are being transfered to the non-emergency line? Modern digital switching technology is very capable and the entire call to 9111 would only last seconds. Asking the public to determine whether a call requires 911 is asking far too much. One man's nearly amputated limb is another man's scratch. Triaging calls is the 911 operator's responsibility.

The Nukko Lake area is not protected by a volunteer fire department. If there is a fire at Nukko Lake school, nothing will be done other than to watch it burn. There will be no fire response to a campfire that is carelessly abandoned and sets fire to the woodland. A volunteer fire department needs to be established before a tragedy occurs.

That was rough. The power went out, everything went dark, then the natural gas powered generator fired up and everything went back to normal. That was a tough 30 seconds to get through but we persevered.
