This is a travesty! But hey let’s throw money at a useless library, HST removal on liquor and potato chips, and other ludicrous programs but let’s keep hitting health care!I very much appreciated the great PSWs at the GGH when my mother in law spent time there! Why doesn’t the health care system look at the over paid middle and upper management folks!Don’t touch, the PSW, nurses or doctors!

This is tragic. The generation that built this country being treated this way!All level of governments can find all sorts of money to benefit all sorts of popular causes but our seniors remain ignored.Shame

My family immigrated here in 1967, we had 2 hospitals, negligible crime and a bustling downtown.Fast forward to 2024, one hospital with horrible service, crime at record high rates and a dirty and ugly downtown. We have digressed not progressed!

So in just 2 years the working citizens of Guelph gets hit with an almost 15% tax increase. This is just disgusting!I and many vehemently complained last year about the increases, and they virtually stayed the same!Taxes at all levels of government have become legalized theft, as the number one average household cost is now taxes.I hope all the overpaid, comfortable middle and upper management folks at city hall, the school boards and other public institutions feel really good about giving it to the private sector taxpayers who can barely ends meet, once again. Shame also on the mayor, council and the other boards. You are not doing your jobs.

With respect to those who have accessibility issues, this is a horrible proposal open to all sorts of abuses. Thank you you to fellow reader Susan Watson for detailing them!

Thank you Liberal Party of Canada for the significant rise in crime in Guelph and in most of Canada in the last 10 years. Your government’s soft on crime laws have destroyed the safety of our communities. With exception of gun violence we now have a higher crime rate than the USA. I weep for this once great country.

Not sure where you get your statement about how or who values people that way.But this taxpayer is tired of always hearing about entitlements, what about everyone trying to contribute their share to build up the community they live in. It’s not only about rights it’s also about responsibility... and to be on topic I think this is a good project
