Falcon, BC United drop out of election race, candidates welcomed by Rustad's Conservatives

What a joke! Then Rustad and Falcon both blamed the NDP for the mess that the BC Liberals created during their lengthy time in office.

From what I recall, it was the BC Liberals who were responsible for years of health care slashing from the time that Gordon Campbell took office. While they're at it, they should restore the name to Prince George Regional Hospital instead of that university thing. The Northern Medical Program is actually run by UBC in Vancouver, not by UNBC.

If there's one thing that's for certain. Most of the people who complain about the government and carbon taxes do not understand how either of them work. I'm not suggesting that carbon taxes are good or bad. People see the word "tax" and automatically freak out. People are basically ignorant as to how things actually work.

I suspect that higher numbers can also be attributed to improved diagnostic techniques or the fact that more families are seeking a diagnosis for their children's behavior..

The city really needs to preserve that corridor and not extend Foothills along there. Those paths have some of the highest pedestrian usage in Prince George whether it is dog walkers or runners. Running a 4 lane road through there would also be a huge annoyance to the residents of the adjoining subdivisions. If they decide to build more houses along Tyner, it's a high risk proposition to build too close to the escarpment. They would have houses sliding into the bowl.

Well done Ms. Bird for taking this one on for the benefit of Prince George!

I have confidence in Rosalyn Bird and the Conservatives if they stick to the serious issues that affect everyone, like health, housing, employment, etc. If they become mired in the MAGA type issues, it's a losing game for them.

The city could always close the rink for 2 years like they did with the pool to make sure that it's all repaired correctly.

UNBC is rewarded with a low student to faculty number because they can't attract enough students per faculty member. In other words, they have too many faculty and senior academic administrators for the number of students that they enroll. Enrollments have been declining at UNBC for many years even though UNBC keeps adding programs, adding more Deans and VP's and other overpaid executives. There's something wrong with this picture.

I have attended several gatherings that were held in the ACE's meeting rooms and was very impressed by service that Nansi Long and the others provide to their clients. ACE is such a welcoming place for those who have the misfortune of living with mental health issues. Keep up the good work!!

This is UNBC's opportunity to have a proper competition and then hire a real university President instead of simply appointing a former UBC mid-level manager.

Mr. Rustad, If you are so concerned about environmental activists, why is a former leader of the Green Party and the Ecosocialist Party working for you in a high level position?

I wonder how Shirley Bond and the BC Liberal/United members are able to shamelessly tell the public that they will fix the healthcare system when they were the ones who took it apart.

Chest RockUwell. Post secondary institutions are funded, in part, from the higher tuition rates that are paid by foreign students. When you cut foreign students, you are cutting the money that funds programs for Canadian too.

Where is the wood going to come from that they need to build the millions of houses that have been promised by all levels of government? Time for some Project Management 101.

Was it parked at Moccasin Flats?

A friend of mine is one of Ms. Bird's constituents and I know that she has really gone to bat to assist him with some issues that he's had with our current government. Perhaps some MLA's work more quietly than others. She seems to me like a good one!

Downtown Prince George has similar problems to many cities in Canada. But if you look at the real estate prices in Prince George and how much those prices have risen over the past few years, Prince George seems like a boom town. Exponential growth in the housing and real estate prices here.

Your tax dollars at work. I suspect that the cost per student to build and maintain that building and to pay the instructors is astronomical.

UNBC keep doing these discount contests not for the sake of the students. They do this because they can barely attract enough students to stay in business.
