Municipalities want end to oil and gas property tax loopholes
OkotoksToday

They have been trying to the Government to get rid of the loop holes for nine years, so I don't think it is the Municipalities that have been causing the problem. If I didn't pay my taxes someone would come and repossess my property and probably throw me in jail as well. Time to get the AER to not be bought and paid for by the oil, gas and coal companies....self regulation doesn't work and never will.

The latest one that shows that the UCP are not conservationists is Todd Loewen allowing 14 year olds the right to run around without an adult in sight to use their laser hunting scopes and shoot cougars. Those are three different new legislations all wrapped in one big loss for wildlife in one scenario. All for Loewen's huge conflict of interest in a guiding and hunting business that is family owned.

Just watch this government let them. Out of sight ..out of mind. Except the Alberta people have a brain. The majority of the people in Alberta are very tired of resource businesses getting away with making our water toxic by not being held accountable for the toxins and eyesores these resource extraction companies are by law supposed to clean up.

I just listened to the Saturday CBC airing of the world about disinformation. Conservatives who believe in mis or disinformation is about 91%. So the big lies that Trump told about the 2020 election are picked up by our UCP voters and MLA. This is simply a dog whistle to their base. What a load of total nonsense. They are the only voters who believe voting machines can be manipulated. Far more manipulation occurs when voting and counting by manual methods and require much more manpower. Malarky I say to not allowing municipalities to use the tried, tested and proved voting machines with Q Codes and almost instant results.

How about moving it ahead 6 months. The sooner this UCP government is defeated the better.

Another short sighted bean brain idea the UCP thought no one would notice. “Let’s pick on the most vulnerable people in our society….maybe no one will notice”. Back to decisions that don’t affect any of them personally l. Such a soulless government. Shame on them again
There is no known way to mitigate selenium. Never done period…tech spent over $1B and failed. They off loaded this liability to Glencoe. This government is acting like their king south of us. Dig baby dig. Just asinine and dangerous
