If they maintain the roads and sidewalks during a storm the roads and sidewalks would not be considered 'a state of repair'. Whoever made this policy up has never had to drive, walk , used a wheelchair or walker to get around in this City. Shame on you city and counselors we live in the North, we pay high taxes for road/street repairs/maintenance do your job!

Hopefully the power 's at be take time to do proper research and put these funds into programs that will help those who WANT help, such as affordable housing. Follow a housing model that BC has set with the Mental Health Association and place those who need and WANT to he helped into housing and supports. Any chance of that happening???? No luck in listening to the taxpayers suggestions!! probably will be wasting the money on metal snowflakes, parks and pools that are unsupervised and risk of being sued!!

Seems the west enders gets most of the snow removal while the east enders have 7 foot snow banks, narrow roads and daily anxiety about going out of driveways or streets for fear of being in an accident. We pay heafty taxes as well!! I guess we'll have to have a major accident or the emergency services placing a report that they are not able to get through.. in due time perhaps.

Yup, so don't expect the City to plow the roads until Friday or AFTER the storm is over!!

So instead of doing all these ridiculous costly "beautifucations" around tge city, why can't counsel agree to assist some of these groups with funding?? !!

This program has brought so much to our seniors. They absolutely LOVE each visit and look forward to them. The care, advice and support they receive from these professionals have truly assisted keeping them healthy, in their own homes instead of hospital or long term care. Kudos to the program developer, paramedics and support staff.

Kind of a silly idea.. so let's cancel the transportation of vulnerable children so they can attend school.. let them walk in this weather !! Isnt that why we have vehicles?? To assist us? What next?

With the ongoing issues with the building and the landlord, one would wonder WHY tenants are still in that building? Wouldn't it make sense to move to another location? The landlord obviously waits until there's media coverage to respond to any problem, then empty promises are made. Common sense only tells me that the landlord obviously doesn't care... so why are there still tenants?? I know for some, it's a matter of $$ ... maybe rent is cheap, location is convenient etc. However, come on.. wow, stop complaining and move out if you're not satisfied. On the other hand, then we as tax payers will have another empty building that will need to foot the bill for. Only common sense solution is to move out.
