As a councilor her business is mentioned and plugged very often. Her "Councilor Caputo" social media frequently has her business in the background. How is this not unethical and a conflict of interest?
I strongly recommend everyone take a look at her Instagram account - she doesn't seem to have any problems with what looks like bullying others who don't share her view.
@wallyhuntet - it was Justin Trudeau who massively increased capital gains taxation. To be fair, Carney has been in power a short duration and hasn't really done much. But he has already taken a vacation.
@rwrh - the Norwegian and Canadian cultures are vastly different - similar programs offered to Canadian inmates have shown very low participation & success rates and have still resulted in high recidivism. The first step is to have deterrence to criminals and the current soft-on-crime approach clearly isn't working. Canada is experiencing historically high levels of crime. Unfortunately the new (same old) federal government is adopting the same "soft on criminals, hard on citizens" approach.
When I've emailed Caputo about our many issues in ward 3 all I got was lip service, zero action and zero results.Worst councilors I've seen in my 20 years living here.
I wonder if Councilor Caputo has ever removed any negative comments from her own social media platforms?I see lots of people commenting about being greatly frustrated with her yet magically all of her social media posts are all positive and supportive. Please ensure you walk the walk, and don't just talk the talk Councilor
Judges are notoriously lenient.Review some of their most recent decisions - light sentences for serious offences.Recently a pick-up truck drove past a school bus narrowly missing hitting children because the driver was on a cell phone. The provincial offenses judge didn't think it was serious.
Earnings under the table not reported.Uninsured.Uninspected.Unpermited.These legal checks & balances exist because people have gotten very sick leading to deaths due to improper hygiene. Not hateful - it's common sense.
