Great another term of broken promises, wasting of taxpayers money, and absolutely zero change to the important issues. For those who never voted don't complain when Shoemaker neglects the important issues and focuses on irrelevant things
If hospital employees have to pay for parking so should the city employees. It's ridiculous that city employees get the red carpet treatment and the rest of the city has to beg and scratch just to get a parking spot.
This is NOT ok , this should never happen. My father passed away in 2014 due to a situation like this , he had to stay in the ER for several days due to the lack of beds. The government needs to give the Sault the funding for another hospital or to build an extension to the current site , they also need to have a separate building for the mental health department.
Absolutely the city should be cleaning it up , if I'm paying taxes then why should I have to put my health at risk for extremely heavy ice and show that I didn't put there to begin with
I was honored to have been able to participate in the 1st calender with Tracy, she was one of the most inspiring people I have the privilege to be able to call a friend. Honestly though, it was a huge difference having the parking program to help cover the cost of parking during my cancer journey, I was at the hospital 5 days a week during my radiation therapy, plus my chemo and other appointments.
I am a tax payer, if I am responsible for making sure the area infront of my home is maintained during the off winter months why can't the city be responsible for cleaning the mouth of my driveway during the winter? We don't own a snowblower and our driveway isn't wide enough for a truck with a plow to get through. So yeah I feel that the city can afford to get the equipment for the clearing of the mouth of driveways to be done instead of waisting our taxes on useless things that the city doesn't need like turning streets into single lanes , a " new years puck drop " and so on.
Greg Thorpe, there's a difference from someone who only has to go to the hospital for a single visit compared to the staff who work there daily. And while I'm at it , what about the cancer patients who have treatment every single day ? So no having to pay for parking at the hospital is absolutely ridiculous and nobody should have to pay to park there period. Find the funding elsewhere for the maintenance of the parking lot
My sincere condolences to Sharon and family. Every time I seen Steve he was always so caring and always so energetic. I always received a huge hug from him whenever I seen him , even while he was a member at Club Cabana when I worked there. Rest Easy my dear friend Dawn Santoro
