Life will not get easier or cheaper. If he keeps his promise to axe the tax, prices at the pump will not go down, and neither will the greedy grocery chains lower theirs. Just look at our gas prices now. Doug has temporarily stopped collecting provincial gas tax, but the companies just keep the prices the same and call it profit. Loblaws, Metro etc are making record profits, but they blame the prices on the tax.

@St.John Farmers are exempt from the Carbon tax. Truckers carry thousands of pounds of items which, when divided by the total number of items is only pennies increased cost. Then the big grocery chains charge 50% more to increase their record profits and blame the carbon tax for their CEO's huge bonus.
