I assume then that they will be severed from all city provided services? No road maintenance, water and sewage connection? This is what taxes help pay for.
It's nice to see a judge not just rubber stamping a slap on the wrist punishment. A death threat isn't something that should be taken lightly. How often do we see women hunted down and killed by former partners or even family because they felt betrayed or shame. Women have been getting treated badly for far too long and it seems to be getting worse because of diversification.
You have no privacy in a company vehicle. Most locomotives have cameras installed that record the entire cab and employees. It seems to be perfectly legal for railroads.
Why not spend that 1.5 billion on bringing in more doctors? Almost a million people still don't have access to a family dr. Emergency rooms are shutting down. The problem isn't infrastructure. Worry about that when all vacancies have been filled.
I know the courts have issues injunctions preventing places like this from being shut down, but at this point it's just a safety hazard. clearly the residence have no real interest in improving their lives. I try to defend homeless people as I don't believe they really want to be homeless but if they're actively working against making their lives better how can we continue defending them?
The courts need to send a message that Canadians have a right to document anything they see in public. The police cannot use the threat of arrest to hide their corruption. Despite what some may say, it isn't political correctness that leads to police getting in trouble. Its the charter of rights and freedoms. It isn't against the law to video anything in public and police officers cannot order you to delete things from your phone. Those that think otherwise may find life in North Korea more to their liking.
Transport Canada has mandated onboard cameras and microphones for all locomotives operating for a federally regulated railroad. Meaning cn and CP. How is it possible it's mandated by law for railroads but considered a privacy violating for a logging company?
