I do a lot of driving for my job and spend on average two hours a day driving mostly near the downtown core and the mall. The things I see are wild.I personally learned to drive in a major city out east. I am very much used to assertive driving, aka quick lane changes to make turn offs, that sort of thing. What I see in Prince George is not that. I frequently have drivers, most commonly in lifted trucks, pass me, swerving in and out of lanes driving excessively fast as if to prove a point, only to pull up to them three blocks later at a red light.I also try and bike to work. I believe in being the change you want to see. I've almost died twice already this year, from drivers trying to go 50km per hour in our downtown. Just because there is no posted speed limit downtown does not mean you MUST go 50. I feel the RCMP in this town could make a good portion of their budget just enforcing the rules.
