All politicians make BIG PROMISES or get elected but once elected, all their promises disappear. They just carry on and nothing promised ever gets completed.
It’s about time but not only truck driver’s but everyone needs rest area with bathrooms and sinks. This situation is so outdated with barely any rest areas anywhere along the Canadian hwys. Travel in the USA AND REST AREAS ARE READILY AVAILABLE, THAT’S THE WAY IT SHOULD BE INSTEAD OF CANADIAN OUTHOUSES ( IF YOU CAN FIND ONE ).
Sault Ste Marie is becoming a very undesirable to live in. Drugs being the number issue. Homeless is also at the top of the list. Wellington St, Albert St, Queen St are all deplorable with druggies all over the place. These landlords should be brought to court , the keys to all these buildings that are either boarded up or are unfit for living, taken away and let the city take them all back, get them all fixed up or tear them down. Wake up Mayor and council and GET SOMETHING DONE.
Mr. Mantha, this is exactly what needs to be done. There are TOO MANY DRIVERS on the roads that sure DO NOT KNOW HOW TO DRIVE. Way to go and good luck.
Some, not all, of these drivers need MORE TRAINING. The majority of them DO NOT KNOW HOW TO DRIVE and are a hazard to our hwys. It’s about time our hwy. dept. did something about this and get these drivers off the roads.
I totally agree. This is disgusting and all puppy mills need to be closed for good. There is a certain CHRISTIAN GROUP THAT HAS PUPPY MILLS AND THEY TOO NEED TO BE SHUT DOWN. The way they raise their animals is not fit for any animal.
Just another. WASTE OF MONEY “ This is one of the DUMBEST IDEAS EVER but that is all council can do, , just have to SPEND SPEND & SPEND. There are hardly any shoppers in the downtown area but for those few that do shop downtown, guess the taxpayer has to pay for their bicycle parking.
Yes he should have just to see all the druggies, empty boarded up houses, etc., etc.,. The Sault is worse than it has ever been and not getting any better. Glad we moved out of there.
I grew up in BayView and in all those years, there was NEVER as many incidents at the Steel Plant as there are now. Poor maintenance, workers that do to know what they are doing, very poor maintenance, and the list goes on. This is very scary for all in this area and something needs to be corrected before we have a major disaster. I have heard from workers in the plant and the maintenance in there is ridiculous. Something needs to be done before there is a major disaster.
Affordable housing project, I highly doubt it. I don’t know how people are affording the ridiculous rent prices. No wonder there are so many homeless people and families. Something NEEDS to be done on this matter.
