Seems very petty on the school board's part. The schools no longer exist, let it go.

There is absolutely no reason to install a roundabout at this location. The traffic lights work perfectly well. This is a huge waste of time and taxpayers money!

Well, I hope they're University doesn't use any fossil fuels to heat its buildings, or provide power.I also assume none of these protesters use fossil fuels in any way in their private lives. To do otherwise would just be hypocritical...wouldn't it?

Well, I guess that means the McVicar creek at Court Street encampment needs to go. It's definitely within 20 meters of private property. There should be some guidelines for the condition these encampments are kept in as well. The above mentioned encampment stinks from all the garbage and used toilet paper strewn about!

Why? Names should not be released until people are found guilty by a law court...not the court of public opinion. We seem to have lost sight of innocent until proven guilty.

Most of those areas already have traffic lights at a nearby intersection. Fix the traffic light system first, then decide if pedestrian crossings are actually necessary. Perhaps if traffic flow was more consistent, separate crossings won't be required.

The tent cities around the city are festering cesspools! If there isn't a way to get them under control, that should be council's first task.We want our city to be a tourist destination but the first thing visitors see is filthy tent cities.I've even seen people relieving themselves in plain sight!Im not sure what the answer is, but something needs to be done ASAP.If I pulled down my pants and relieved myself in my front yard, I'd be arrested!

They are just making the use of Marina Park for the wealthy and excluding those who can't afford to pay. It's already a pay to play facility a lot of the time, with the ridiculous number of events that require a ticket for entry. If the city wants to make this a profit making venture, they should at least admit it!

So, the safe consumption site was too close to schools, but as an addictions treatment center it's not?I think it's our provincial government that's on drugs!

I actually hope this deal fails miserably. I'm not convinced this is a good match for our community or our environment.

So, they saved the life of a woman under the violent influence of drugs and their reward is to be investigated for wrongdoing.Who would ever want to be a police officer in this city?Thank goodness for those who are brave enough to put their lives on the line knowing they are being unfairly scrutinized at every turn!

This is the direction the Conservative Party of Canada is headed.Alberta lead it all by doing this same thing and then indicating that they will force addicts into treatment against their will (something that has already been proven ineffective).Want to see the rest of their destructive repertoire? Elect them federally!

First the city rents the park out so frequently regular citizens can only rarely use it. Then they make it paid parking, so most citizens don't want to go there.Great job getting the citizens to pay for a park we can't use!

Council should put in place rules dictating tax breaks, or similar incentives, for apartment complexes to include geared to income units. Let's get out of the dangerous habit of housing huge groups of marginalized people together, making them targets for every piece of garbage criminal in the city!

Why is there no opposing viewpoint in this article? Are journalistic methods changing to only represent the most powerful groups?Seems like shoddy reporting to me!

Having spent years instructing investigation methods, to me it certainly sound as though this private company acting as the city's integrity commissioner needs to do a better job.Conducting such an investigation without interviewing every possible person who could potentially have information is shoddy. Not interviewing the accused person is reckless!

Maybe insurance would have been a good idea. Why is people's inability to be responsible everybody else's problem? Everybody just creates a go fund me these days instead of being responsible in the first place.

If the TBDSSAB hasn't realized that grouping low income people into one building is the #1 cause of these issues, they need to be replaced!Additionally, people wait for years on a list for affordable housing by people in an office in Southern Ontario. For most, this means they are in a battle to fight off homelessness...if they're lucky! It's well past time to revamp this failure of a system!

Has administration lost their minds? Can they not see the immediate problem posed by putting a homeless community beside a river?Let's just put people in danger while exposing the city to lawsuits. Not all that bright!

The "Pilon 500" is just that, a useless piece of garbage. I've yet to see a pothole it's filled last more than a few weeks.
