Bravo ! I'm so glad you refused to apologise . As well, to the council members that refused to vote on the "punishment" , thank you for doing the right thing. This should never had been part of an open forum meeting . I was heartbroken listening to you speak, you should never have been put in that position . Good thinking on turning it back on them to make a decision instead of having to bow down . So proud of you for standing your ground, i'm sure it wasn't easy . Mayor was anxious to put forth punishment to a vote, shame on you . I'm guessing everyone is going to have to watch every word, every action for fear of being put on the "bad pedestal" on display. Keep doing what you are doing , you've got this, and were here to support you ! Take a deep breath, you made it through the meeting, i'm sure your nerves are shattered right now. We all watched in anticipation of what was going to happen , again, you did the right thing !

Kudos for you and the rest of the dr's , i'm sure you will find a good bldg to move to,NO outside of sault ste. marie characters should be allowed to purchase any bldgs in the soo, until this huge debacle of boarded up bldgs and homes is taken care of asap

why wasn't police contacted about the death threat ....... put them in their place and show them it is unacceptable ! Maybe then, they'll get the big picture . when i was a convenor for sault youth soccer I kicked parents off the field as well as stopped games and rescheduled them/ I wasn't allowing the refs or myself be treated that way, I just shut it down .............. all because of the PARENTS. THis is not the behaviour you want your kids to follow.

He obviously HAS security clearance. The one you are talking about was "only to read the documents" and with the GAG ORDER on the file, there was nothing he could do with what would have been been in that paper work. What would be the point of applying for a special clearance that would have prevented him from doing anything with the information ...... do some research

Can someone please explain , with being assaulted by these people, why are the police not involved . You certainly would not allow a stranger to do this to you outside of the arena , especially minors . YOu are willfully allowing parents to do this to your child without calling the police ? Time to start having security at the games .

There is 2 inches of ice on every sidewalk, which is now covered in snow and dangerous to walk on when you are a senior. No sanding, no salting, and now more freezing rain coming.as the old saying goes " s.n.a.f.u" as usual with the city . I would really love to be able to actually take my dog for a walk , instead i have to walk him around a parking lot of the apt bldg. FOr a city that promotes " green" and not driving your vehicle , they sure don't care that everyone cant get anywhere due to safety and non plowed sidewalkscity is a lawsuit waiting to happen for failing to provide a safe environment to walk in for all people .This isn't a significant weather alert, this is an excuse to cover thier butts in case someone gets hurt and tries to sue........... This is a significant failure on the part of the city

Sault Ste. Marie is done, with 1,000 being laid off from the plant, never to recover their jobs. Along with 1,600 contractors that worked within the plant ......... no one wants to mention those job losses though . the tax $$$ this city received is now gone and there is no way to recover those lost tax $$$ . People can't find jobs as they are all taken up by TFW's who won't hire local people . Now the city wants to put a pool in the st mary's river at a huge price tag.Homelessness went up 70% in 3 years . We have 4 lane roads down to two lanes because the city can't catch up on the snow we've had this winter. Sidewalks not plowed for days, leaving citizens to have to walk on the roads at main shopping areas......... I've lived here all my life and have never seen this city in such a mess. Along with all the drugs, thefts, attacks . We were the #1 opiod death rate per capita in canada . We are one of the worst/ most dangerous places to live in Canada , unsolved murders etc etc

ask Britain how they feel about the mess he created that they are still recovering from. Tell me what he has done so far when parliament has prorogued ......... nothing, absolutely nothing . He can't even walk into parliament , he's a placeholder . He wont even win a seat in any electorate . He, after all , was " guiding" trudeau the past 4 years and look at the mess we are in.

There are lots of businesses in town that are not wheelchair accessible .........where are their fines/ demands to change it ? Is it because they are an established business , and if sold and reopening as a business, then it has to be changed ?

The Leader of the Opposition in Canada is not required by law to be a member of the National Security and Intelligence Committee of Parliamentarians (NSICOP), nor are they required to obtain the top-secret security clearance associated with it. Here are the key details regarding the Leader of the Opposition and NSICOP:No Legal Requirement: Membership in NSICOP is not mandatory for any parliamentarian, including opposition leaders. It is a committee appointed by the Prime Minister.Security Clearance Requirements: To be part of NSICOP, members must obtain a Top Secret security clearance, which involves a background check by the RCMP and a CSIS assessment.Access to Information:Alternative Access: Opposition leaders can receive briefings without being on the committee, but these are often limited in scope. I All hold Top Secret security clearances and are permanently bound to secrecy.

Thank you for bringing this to the attention of the store ! Most stores have a scale in the veggie/fruit section .......... i think i'll be using that from now on when i purchase meat

That's what happens when " greed" becomes a factor. Education isn't big business , it should be a " not for profit" venture . Look at the immigrant that was a data analyst that worked for TD bank.............. he made $98,000 a year at that job, but yet goes on instagram to announce all the " free food " he's received from food banks while working at that job................... the job he no longer has due to that instagram post and is now in the process of being deported . Serious vetting should be done prior to immigration...........wake up Canada

must be awful living in such " fear" all the time .

Cleary the City doesn't have enough equipment or workers, hence the deterioration of roads /sidewalks . Private contractors may be the way to go to save money and have people readily available to do that work.

Dupers delight by Carney, ( it happens frequently ). Ford is acting like a child that , if he repeats it enough, he might actually believe himself. As a conservative voter ........... Ford needs to go !

change the direction of the blade so that the ice chunks go in the middle of the road, have a blower or loader and dump trucks follow down the road picking it all up, simple solution

Totally agree with Mr. Kinach. I watch most council meetings and i remember when he said that . I thought, good job ! He is truly representing the people , and not wanting to frivolously spend money on "consultants" for things that are not feasible.>I wish he was the one representing my ward instead of the ones wanting to "redo downtown for their own gain " (which is not even their ward) Keep speaking up !
