PrinceGeorgeCitizen 8I don't really want to hear anyone on Council or Admin talk about homelessness, crime, addiction when you see the groups that they are recommending rejecting funding to, in favour of cross country skiing? If you don't think the city gives a shoot about mental health or overdose prevention or homelessness or crime it's because they don't. 2pm is also a closed meeting, correct? Also, also, also, is this a bizarre way to do funding announcements? Take a look at Council and see how they are connected to groups being recommended for funding.

PrinceGeorgeCitizen 6@Bobs your uncleMan, I've got bad news for you if you are worried about how tax dollars are spent and municipal vs provincial responsibilities. You know what proportion of our annual budget is spent on protective services, right? And how much we seem to annually be adding to that? For perspective, before it was voted down we almost spent 1.5x the total of all these grants on a pair of side by sides for bylaw services in the last budget.
